Hi,
I want to transfer string value from C# to javascript in asp.net.
For that, I am trying in two ways one is hidden variable and other is label tag but both are getting an error message.
Here the code:
Using hidden:
<script language = "C#" runat="server">
string img_name = "image1.jpg#image2.jpg#image3.jpg";
hide_imgname.value = img_name; // error: hide_imgname is not defined
</script>
<script language = "javascript">
string js_imgname = hide_imgname.value; // error: hide_imgname is not defined
</script>

<input type="hidden" name="hide_imgname"/>
Using label:
<script language = "C#" runat="server">
string img_name = "image1.jpg#image2.jpg#image3.jpg";
Message.Text = img_name; // Now here no error.
</script>
<script language = "javascript">
string js_imgname = Message.Text; // error: Message is not defined
</script>
.
.
.
.<asp:label id="Message" visible="false" runat="server"/>.
Please help me to sort out this problem.

change to :
string js_imgname = document.form1.Message.Text; // error: Message is not defined
form1=your form name

Dear All,
Now I am providing a solution to a web based(asp.net) application. Almost all the work completed. But the thing is that web application is working fine in my local machine. If i put that application into client's Developement server, the buttons(like submit, update) are not working on that server. If i click any button in that applcation on Dev, no event is fired. Nothing happened.
What is the solution for this? what are the steps should I do to wake up that buttons?
I need this ASAP........

I am using the following code in html view
<%#DataBinder.Eval(container.DataItem , "photo_file")%>
photo_file is name of attribute in database for storing filename in database.

Hello,
I have an asp.net web application with an insertion form. I want to automatically fill in the rest of the textbox as an item in the dropdownlist is selected.
My problem is that, when I select an item on the list, it fill the rest of the textbox but when I change my list selection, it still maintains the same value for all the textboxes. I know the problem. The problem is that, I have 2 keys on that database table and the possibilities in asp.net allows only 1 value key for this selection. So can any one help me with how I can use both keys on the TextValue property of the dropdownlist?

Hi,
why when the log out link is clicked, the page does not get redirected to the login page and it remains on the page where it was before?
May be this is to do with the fact that when the logout is clicked, there is a postback to one of the pages.
This is what I have at present:

u re not using the properties properly,yu need to tell the control that which is your login page
u need to set logoutpageurl property to make it happen

Even using this new code, it still does not redirect.

While scanning the document, just scan it as MSWord file. there are options for this. Then u don't need to convert the scanned document

but my text is persian and scaner can not do this work because their font is not complete . i want a software that do this work.

first of all , search for persian fonts on the net and load them into ur fonts. Then select those fonts into MS Word. Then start scanning through MS word. hope that may scan ur complete document into Word.

In Asp.Net if am trying to open an Access Database it is showning me the following error
"The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file 'C:\TrackMe.mdb'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data"
