hi all,
i want to Increase the Font of the Labels before all the Controls. is there any approach to increase the Font of a Static Control that we palce before all the Controls to Identify. i want to increase the Font Size of the Static Controls before the placed before the Controls in a Dialog Box.
please let me know,

In the definition of your dialog (the .h file), include a CFont object (m_font). Initialise that font object in your constructor:
LOGFONT lf;
NONCLIENTMETRICS ncm;
ncm.cbSize = sizeof(ncm);
VERIFY(SystemParametersInfo(SPI_GETNONCLIENTMETRICS, ncm.cbSize, &ncm, 0));
memcpy(&lf, &ncm.lfMessageFont, sizeof(LOGFONT));
m_font.CreateFontIndirect(&lf);
Then in your OnInitDialog, get the CStatic object for the ontrol, and set it's font. Remember, you need to have named the object in the resources something other then IDC_STATIC.

if (wnd) wnd->SetFont(&m_font);

Sometimes if i want to set breakpoint to do debbugging,the error will display that "one or more breakpoints cannot be set and disabled"..Wats the reason for this..How can i set breakpoint in my coding...

Because you are trying to put a breakpoint on an invalid line. An invalid line is a line that isn't related to an assembler instruction (like for example declaration of variable, an opening or closing brace, ...)

May be you set the breakpoint on a line which is invalid. Like on an empty line or comment lines.

F9 where you want to set the breakpoint. F9 again on the same line will clear the breakpoint.
To clear all break points in the project press Ctrl+Shift+F9.

With MSVC6 (and possibly other debuggers) this can happen if you place a BP in a DLL then try to debug an EXE that loads the DLL but hasn't done so yet.

I had written a service whose startup option is always set to automatic.but when i reboot my machine the startup type is shown as manual. This is being observed only in one machine.
I need to know why the service status is changed to manual after every reboot?
Could you please throw some light on this?

I am writing an Office Addin which displays a Modeless window. The code is in VC++. I am creating the Window myself hence the above code. Now, when I remove the above code, my window works as a modeless window. but when I add the above code, it works like a modal window.
Is the above block of code important?

It is the main message loop of a window: it will retrieve the messages from the message loop and process them. If you put this loop in a 'child' window, the main loop of your application won't run anymore, that's why it reacts as a modal dialog.

|
Loops like that are the single most important aspect of Windows programming. Windows is message based and this is the plumbing that "pumps" the messages - hence it's name, the "message pump".

Hi all!
I want to write a program like Watchdog O Matic, but there are some difficult things because of the knowledge. I have some question in my mind but still not answer yet:
1. How to know/detect a application have error like : Access Violation, Runtime Library, MFC error to restart the application.
2. Where's document to solve above issue
If you known something please let me know...
