From your message it is not clear that which validation control are you using. Anyway, please make sure that you have enabled the validation control by using Enabled property. Apart from that check whether you have enabled client side validation for that page. If yes, give appropriate error message so that you will get notified.

i have already checked for all things mentioned. but the thing is that requiredfieldvalidators are getting fired on the development server when i deploy the application on LIVE environment validators dont work only on one page of the application. Rest are working fine.
looking for your advice.

Not sure if you have checked out the MemberRolesSDK[^], and the CommunityServer[^] is a good example that you want to see how to use this library. Also, as you may already know that this library is replaced in the ASP.NET 2.O with the provider kits, so you may find the provider documentation in MSDN useful too.

Is there any clientside javascript available to the gridview? I know Infragistic's has a great array of commands but, prefer to use the GridView in the app.
Is there anyway to select a row on the GridView without posting back to the server?

well you can use javascript to do it.. I have done it with datagrid and i belieev you can do the same way with gridview..
ondatabound add onclick attribute to the item (row) e.g.
simplest...
item.attributes.add("onclick","javascript:this.style.backgroundcolor=red;")
a bit complex..
item.attributes.add("id",item.clientid)
//above line is optional if you need to search by id on client
item.attributes.add("onclick","javascript:selectRow(this);")
or for double click
item.attributes.add("ondblclick","javascript:selectRow(this);")
and then in selectRow function do whateevr you want to dso on client..

afaik you your code is fine if you are getting mail in queue. to send it you have to have a live internet connection and valid smtp server. if it is in queue nothing is wrong with the code you need to check smtp server setting.. or relay options in IIS

Hi,
I m having typeddataset with 3 tables and relations among them. 2nd datatable has some computed columns including aggregate functions based on relation with 3rd table. While I am trying to fill the data in to datatables I am getting the following exception if at all my 3rd table doesnt have any rows. I am getting this error while i am setting EnforeceConstraints of dataset to true after filling datatables. Before filling them I am setting it to false.
"Failed to enable constraints. One or more rows contain values violating non-null, unique, or foreign-key constraints.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: System.Data.ConstraintException: Failed to enable constraints. One or more rows contain values violating non-null, unique, or foreign-key constraints."

My computed columns in the second datatable are like:
Count(Child.detailId)
Here in second datatable I am having a column which is having dataexpression as "Count(Child.detailId)", and in second datatable itself there are some other columns which are computed based on the above calculated column.
Is there any problem with aggregate columns.

how can i change the url of the content page in contentPlaceholder. Currently it is now allowing to specify the url of content page.

In the content page's source view there should be a page directive at the top. With in the directive there should be a masterpagefile="yourmasterpage.master". If you don't have one you will need to add it and intellisense should take care of the rest. Since your content page can be in any folder with in the application, it should the be the masterpagefile tag's responsibility to point to the correct masterpagefile.
e.g. if the masterpage.master file in is the root directory, all of the contenct pages that use this master file should have the masterpagefile tag equaling "~/masterpage.master", regardless of their physical folder location.
