This is the error im getting:
Exception Details: System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error
No, im sure there's no error in the main.aspx page. It runs fine if i open a new browser and run the link normally (even with the querystring). Only when i send it as a request through the webrequest object i get an error... how come?

Well, I don't know what to tell you then. The 500 error you are getting is happening on the web server - maybe it is an authentication issue? Do you need to send credentials with your WebRequest?

I am having a problem with various validators in ASP.NET
If I want to use two validators on one textbox, then i am not able to display the messages at the same place. I am also using a Validation summary control. But if I set the property "visible= false " for a validation control then, validation summary is also not displayed. I want to display the validation summary but not the individual validation control error messages. Please help me out, it's too urgent.

Leave the validation summary visible, set the ErrorMessage properties for your textbox validators to the messages you want, then leave the Text property blank. This should let you display error messages in the summary instead of next to the textbox.

hi,
I want to refresh a page after every 5 minutes automatically. The thing is that i donot want to refresh the whole page, i want to refresh only the gridview on the page (not the other controls like dropdownlist, text box, etc.)
I need to use-Light weight postback only not any other techniques like AJAx etc
if anyone have a code for this in ASp.net 2.0 (c#), please send it to me. i willl be highly greatful to u.

In order to refresh only the gridview on the page and not other controls.you need to fill the data in gridview through a webservice.call the web service through javascript after the required time interval.
i hope you get the idea.

 i m using the Tabstrip, Tab and Tabseprator by using c# using namespace "Microsoft.Web.UI.WebControls", I want to ask how can we create or Add Tab control to the tabstrip dynamically or through database. Suppose we have a Table TabInfo in the Database say SQL Server. TabInfo tabel have the Coloumn like TabID, TabText, TabTooltip, OnClikUrl, SequenceOrder etc. Now i want to use this table to create the tab. By using this way we need'nt to open the actual file to add new tab statically, the tab will be add by entering the new record in the table dynamically.

After coverting 2005 Web Site Project to 2005 Web Application Project, I got the following errors on all ObjectDataSource:
The type specified in the TypeName property of ObjectDataSource 'odsName' could not be found.

After I converted to 2005 web application project, the App_Code folder was changed to Old_App_Code. My public class for TypeName property of ObjectDataSource is located on this folder.

I exactly followed this tutorial. There is no error when I rebuild the application.

Your class's now only in the Old_App_Code folder, or you also keep another copy of the class in the App_Code folder? Do you use the IIS or the built-in server to do testing? I have tried converting a web site with a datasource control and a custom business class in App_Code folder, and it's working after the conversion, perhaps my example is much simpler than yours. Are you sure that the output assembly in the bin folder contains your custom business class?

Is there a way to create statical data, that is every time for alle sessions accesable?
I tryed to create a static class, and i add an static field from type DataSet. Access form the pages works well und adding new rows also, but after an page reload (press an button or somethink) the dataset is empty.
Is there a way to make code that is for all sessions every time accessable?
or i have to do it per remoting?

The IME Mode in web has less values than that in the windows-based application, you can see it in MSDN:
ime-mode Attribute | imeMode Property[^]
So you can add it to the style of the web control.
