Hi,

In my new project(VS2005) i want to create a datagridview and in that view
a new datagridview!
But i don't know where to start

I know i have to use some sort of relationship with the dataset, but i don't know the rest!
I want to display a row With in front of the row a + (Like in Explorer)
which you can expand (-) and see for this new a new datagridview inside the other with the child
rows.
Example :

Row 1 --> Customer, name, ...
Row a --> orderid, item,...
Row b --> orderid, item,...
Row 2 --> customer, name, ...

Does anybody have an example or an article about this

is there any easy way to paint a column header?

if not i will set UseItemStyleForSubItems of listviewitems for specific subitems that located at the columnheader which i want to paint;then set backcolor of that subitem to any color.

After adding this code, when i try to shift next control by pressing tab key ; why cant i focus to the next control ?

How can i override readonly property of Text Box

Public Overrides Property [ReadOnly]() As Boolean -- this doesnt work it says it is not overridable.
Is there any other method except controlling keypress,keyup,keydown events?

Override it to do what exactly? Change the visual look of readonly fields maybe?

IF value is TRUE, i'll set TabStop to FALSE.

hi there
whil i open an input file which is huge in size , if some popup occurs in between the loading fails , if i break and try to find the error it is not giving any source code what might be the reason???

To answer ur question,yes i'm updating my database.I have been trying to use the ".preview" function i.e
datareport1.preview (but there's no such function I can only get .show function)
Can you also plz show me how to convert a datareport into a PDF file and save it or how i can manupulate the exporting facility on datareports to enable exportin to PDF

Can u also plz show me how to convert a report to PDF and save it.Oh by the way with the quick report issue i tried the .preview functions but VB 6.0 doesnt have such a function

I want to input value on datagrid, but I don't know how to check the primary key (when it's empty or duplicate). If have error message I want to display my error message not error of window. please...

If a DataTable is bound to your grid you could use its DataRowChanging/Changed events to validate data.

Thanks for your help. I used design mode to created oledbadapter, oledbconnection, dataset and combine with a table on SQL Server 2000. When I press Tab key to enter a new row on datagridview but I can't check a old row. Could you help me and give me code demo. Thanks.

Just create a new PrintDocument, set the page/printer settings and call Print(). You surely have to handle the PrintPage event (the same as in the preview dialog).

Application Execution Error

Hi All,

vb.net/C# applications are opened and compiled (build) properly while executing it will error message like 'The application failed to initialize properly(0x0000005). Click on ok to terminate the application'

And second problem When i open web application Visuval Studio closed automatically. I checked IIS it working fine(http://localhost).My web application also working fine in IE. Here I checked aspnet_state in that it will give error message like 'exiting with error code 0x80070427'. In the event log

Please help me how to resolve those problems

Have you consulted the manual for the device, or checked if they have a home page that may contain any information?

How to interact with an external device is very specific to the type of the device, so at least you have to specify what device you are using for someone to be able to give you any information on it.

Integration with devices plugged into a computer is usually done with a COM component provided by the manufacturer.

As already suggested speak to the manufacturer of the item you have.
