I set the mapmode from MM_TEXT to MM_ANISOTROPIC using setmapmode.But the MM_ANISOTROPIC does not set.How can i set this mapmode.Please help me

Hi All
As we know that 9 profiles (accounts) can be made in MSN explorer.
Now I want to know the name of last logged in user acoount of MSN explorer.
where can I found this information.
Please guide me.

Most probable place IMHO would be registry or look application DATA folder under all User profile... since i don't have MSN explorer installed in my PC.. so i am not of any help...

Hi,
I want to do following things
1.Create a BSTR with the above mentioned XML nodes with node values being empty - <employee><name><id>..<age>
2.Create and load XML DOM document with the BSTR string created in the previous step
3.Set <employee><name><id>..<age>
4.Update the BSTR value with the XML DOM document
I have done the first 2 steps. Can you please help me in setting the value.I am new to xml.

Hello all,
I have created an activex control in vc++6.0 which is a player and can play video files.I tried to run this player thru Internet exployer.

All r working fine.but my problem is,If i close the Internet exployer when the video is playing,It got crashed and showing the following error.
"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Please help me to rectify the error.do i want make any changes in codings??

I think you should handle the close or destroy message etc when it comes to your ActiveX control, and close the video window, free all the memory, close all handles etc before exiting.

Hi
I have created the dialog based applications.I have one dialog and six child dialogs. My mainDialog is having three buttons on click of them all the three dilaogs are visible . Now I want to show the fourth dialog which will be displayed from the the third dialog when it's Notify function is called.
Any kind of help is appreciated.

If I understand you correctly. You want to create a new dialog (dialog 4) when a WM_NOTIFY is sent to (diaolg 3) but all of your dialogs are childs of your main dialog (dialog main)?
You can use PostMessage from the WM_NOTIFY of dialog 3 to dialog main, passing a WM_APP (WM_USER) message. Though this will not work with Modal dialogs.

You have understood teh problem corrctly but All of my dialogs are Modal.
So is there any solution to it.

They are all Modal? I didn't think it was possible to create more than one modal child dialog since in effect the parent is halted waiting for the child dialog to finish.
Maybe somebody else could help you more. You may also want to take a look at using threads.

I want the Lebel control to be set of Extended charactes.
Suppose I want to display a square root symbol. Then I want to use the Label control which can able to display Exteneded ascii character 251.

Try setting the default value of a static / edit control to "\373" (251).

Can you explain me a little what actually happening by writting in the above format.
I am using Japanese Double byte OS. So getting some problem in finding the actual character I need. But it seams it will work.

Unless you can find a font that contains the character you are interested in, this will not work.
Try 'Fixedsys' or 'Terminal' - these are 'OEM' fonts and should contain extended ascii characters.
