I have some problems with being always one pixel off when using GDI+ (I can fix it by experimenting, but I want to understand this...)

Does someone know a good article about that?

Specifically:

(1) I have an Rectangle r, for which I

r.Inflate(-1, -1); // leave a bit of free space around cell<br />
g.DrawRectangle(Pens.Brown, r);     // border<br />
r.Inflate(-1, -1);  <br />
g.FillRectangle(Brushes.Beige, r);  // fill<br />

- the rectangle isn't filled completely (bottom / right one pixel row/column shows background)
- adjancted cells have one pixel difference (I hoped for two)
- adjancted cells with connecting lines do connect to the rectangle, even though they shouldn't

We say "get a life" to each other, disappointed or jokingly. What we forget, though, is that this is possibly the most destructive advice you can give to a geek.

Also had this effect some time ago.
The rectangle drawn by DrawRectangle is one pixel wider/higher than one would assume, but FillRectangle works like expected.
You either have to adress this directly when using DrawRectangle:

g.DrawRectangle(Pens.Brown, new Rectangle(r.Location,
   new Size(r.Width - 1, r.Height - 1)); // border

or always use FillRectangle instead:

r.Inflate(-1, -1); // leave a bit of free space around cell
g.FillRectangle(Brushes.Brown, r); // border
//the interior will be overpainted in the next call
r.Inflate(-1, -1);
g.FillRectangle(Brushes.Beige, r); // fill

The latter one will reduce performance and you will need double buffering to avoid flickering.

Play with PixelOffsetMode (none works best for lines).

Rectangle.Inflate is confusing. It actually scales the Rectangle, and changes Location and Size accordingly.

go for what leppie said.

this is because all "pen" based commands in gdi+ is not pixelbased.
if you say draw a box from 0,0 to 3,3 it draws a box from the "center" of the 0,0 pixel to the "center" of the 3,3 pixel:

Hi,

I have to specify row delimeter for my Textfile other than the default delimeter(Carriage Return)...

Am using Microsoft.Jet.Oledb.4.0 engine to read the file...Is it possible to register the row delimeters in the Registry of thi sEngine?

Kindly help me....

I'm afraid I don't understand the question, Are you trying to make an ASP.NET application that makes use of CSS stylesheets to format the pages?
Or are you trying to do something different. Can you please be more specific so we can help you out?

add implement the class to whatever obj u want.....

Also, pay attention to the supported operating systems and service packs. For example .NET 1.1 could be deployed on Win NT 4 SP6a, but .NET 2 can't.

Read the System Requirements[^] for .NET 2.0.

98 and Me are supported (point gun at foot, squeeze trigger), while NT is no longer supported, on any processor platform.

AJAX stands for Asynchronous Javascript and ActiveX, and is not related to .NET, though in my humble opinion, .NET DOES make it easier to deal with. AJAX makes use of an object available in most browsers 4.0 and above, commonly called XmlHttpRequest, if memory and laziness to verify this right now serve me correctly, and as such, is simply a technology you can use in just about any web based technology. My personal favorite AJAX implementation is one called My Ajax.NET, soon to be called Anthem.NET, and is a completely free implementation. Unfortunately, though, Anthem is still in alpha phase. I've used My Ajax.NET up through version 11, and it's rock solid. I'm looking forward to seeing, though, what he does with Anthem when it's finalized. But thanks for posting the link. Smile | :)
