That was not a cross post, it was a reference.

It's quite ok to make a reference to another post. A cross post would spread the answers in two threads, while a reference keeps the answers in one single thread.

I want to get the header of a stream, which has been recieved into a array of byte.
Is there a safe method to get the header quickly?

Here is the header format:

length 4 bytes,
ID 4 bytes,
SN 12 bytes

If I understand correctly and you're trying to convert from a byte array to primitive integer types, you can use System.BitConverter:

// data as a byte array<br />
byte[] data = { 0x00, 0x01, 0x02, 0x03, 0x04, 0x05, 0x06, 0x07, 0x08, 0x09, 0x0a }; // etc. etc.<br />
<br />
// convert the first 4 bytes to an integer<br />

int id = BitConverter.ToInt32(data, 4);<br />

You can use the ReadBytes(int) function from the BinaryReader-class

The BinaryReader could only read stream.

In .NET 2003 after creating a Office Project and compile, the Word is opened and a fraction later is closed...
If I clos teh VS and enter the doc created by the project the Word is opened and this error apears:

"The current .NET security policy does not permit testWordProject to run from the folder .\testWordProject_bin\. Do not change the security policy in your computer. The .Net security policy is controlled by your administartor or the developer who wrote the custom macros. .......bla bla..."

How can I solve this?

I have OffciePro 2003 and Office comps from installed from the VS DVD...

hi, i made a vb6.0 dll and made a reference for it on a C# windows application and made a definitions for two classes of it, it worked wll on my pc but hen i try the code on another PC i got an error on the defition of theses 2 classes definition the error is:
An unhandled exception of type 'system.runtime.interopServices.COMexception' occured in OCR@WORK.EXE
Additional information: Exception from HRESULT:0x800A0030

so please anyone can help me on this problem ... i don't know why it worked on my PC in a right way but it failed while trying the code on another PC Confused | :confused:

If it's a COM DLL, did you register it using regsvr32?

Did you create an install for the VB6 .DLL? It would appear that some dependencies are missing, like maybe the VB6 Runtime .DLL's, or some other .DLL that your .DLL is refering to.

It's a Setup and Deployment project. Look in Start/Programs/Microsoft Visual something... whatever, I haven't used VB6 in years.

thanks .... i tried it and i checked the dependencies but i didnot see any any dependencies lost .... i gonna get crazy from this project .... have u any solution else ....
or would u like 2 send u the whole project to see the problem on the login page ... it s a small project Laugh | :laugh:

hi, i tried directly after u replied me but i did not get it logged in i tried it on my personal PC in home and it gave me the same error .... the size of the program is 2 MB so can i send it to u and u see the error on the run time please Sniff | :^)

I draw an image in the form_Paint event handler:
e.Graphics.DrawImageUnscaled(bmp,0,0/*panel1.Bounds*/);
But the image IS scaled! The size of bmp is 2048*1900, but the whole image was drawn in a small area of the form, the width was 800 more or less.
Why scaled? How can I make it unscaled?

There's a problem with DPI.
Let use DrawImage(bmp, bmp.Width, bmp.Height): it's simper.

Hi!!

I am using a datagrid to display my customer details, lik ethe first coloumn is the ID, then the next coloumn is the name, and the third coloumn only contains text that says Update. This column is a asp:ButtonColumn. If the user clicks on this link, it must take the user to the updateCustomer.aspx page and load all the customer details. I know that I can have a method for clicking on the link, but is a querystring the only way of going to the updateAgency.aspx page from the link with maybe the agency ID as a parameter? I would've liked to have the link work as a submit button and have no parameters passed like in the querystring, and maybe have it retrieved like Request.Form("ID"), etc. But how is this possbly, how will it know which ID to take as there are other customers listed as well.

Is there a way of clearing a datagrid?

hi,
I've a problem in my soap based application. There are some dll files which were downloaded and added in my dll list. Now the problem is there's an error popping out which is related to the security. i even gave FullTrust to the downloaded dll files and still the problem persists.Since the dll file is not accessed theres a problem in database connectivity.The Connection status is alwalys closed and im not able to Open it.
The Full Trust for the files were given using .Net Configuration 1.1 and even caspol was used.
if anyone has got the solution then do send me the reply.
