I have a combox i bind it with data table like this.

cbclientid.DataSource = dsclientid;
cbclientid.DisplayMember = "Client_Info.Client_Name";
cbclientid.ValueMember = "Client_Info.Client_Id";

Now when i get value from table through sql reader.

Client Id how i select the value from cbclient(combox);

I am doing this :-

cbclientid.SelectedText = dr2.GetString(2); // Return Client Name
this code not select cbclient name value.

If You need to select combobox item base on valueMember
use SelectedValue instead of SelectedText

comboBox1.SelectedValue="value";

Hello,

I'm having a real nightmare trying to get my SQLserver.image data to be displayed in a System.Web.UI.WebControls.DataGrid.
I have written a windows application which works fine, however the WebControls.Datagrid doesn't seem to have the ability to define specific column types as is the case with the 'normal' DataGrid.

Has anyone been able to do this? the examples I've seen on the web seem to use two web pages- one to return the image, to the second. This seems wasteful as I already have the data in a DataSet, why have a second page re-query the database for each image.

I'd imagine this would be a fairly common thing to want to do in a webpage - Ebay for example - a description of the item and an image next to it.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

hi all!i have a form which has a group box and inside the group box have five radio buttons(one is selected by default).At the same time it also have a "OK" button at the form.So when i click on "Ok" button it will sent the value out..Does anybody can provide my some guideline or code..Thanks in advance!

Use a submit button, that will submit the form.

i manage to capture the 'Enter" key button of datagrid and disable it original function.(Point to next row).I would like the enter key to be customised with my event.But it could not.Please help !

Subclass DataGrid and override the PreProcessMessage method

Hi,

I am having a list url in a text file.These url are utf8 encoded.
eg. http%3A%2F%2Fwww.abc.com%2Findex.htm

I need to parse these and convert it normal string like

http://www.abc.com/index.htm

Is there any way for doing this ....

That's not UTF-8. That's URL hex encoding. Use the System.Uri class to convert to a canonical representation.

No, they are not utf8 encoded. They are url encoded.

Use HttpServerUtility.UrlDecode() to decode them.

Hi all,

I’m currently developing a Client/Server application based on Socket, on which the client runs a UI and submit some request which will be send to the server then the client exit. Then the server manipulates these data on his side.

1. I’m trying to force a simple dialog to run at the client machine, on which the user provide an answer from that dialog (Yes/ No) and click O.K.
2. The server then receives this feedback and does something.

I need some help on this issue, I’ll appreciate it. Thanks

I want to render simple HTML on a form without the overhead webbrowser control.

I'd like to render IMG, H1, TABLE tags - and ideally INPUT tags too.

I appreciate that implementing a full web browser is no simple task, but this is much simpler.

Anyone come across any suitable code (even in another language)?
