I'm not sure exactly what it is that you are trying to do, but with few exceptions, PreTranslateMessage() is not the place to be doing it.

hi tnx you for answer, well iam trying to load Popup menu on right click of mouse. if i use OnRButtonDown(...) it wont open in one click u need to click 2 time then it open but that i dont want. In PreTranslatedMessage it open in first time but then when click that popup menu it open dialog and when closing it it crash all. OK if u say that isnt the right way will check for other thanks you.
One more thing... that OnRButtonDown(...) when i click with mouse in CList array that List view it dont perceives that i have clicket there it perceives only if i clicked in main dialog.

This is a very common thing to do. Look for examples using TrackPopupMenu() .

A CList is simply a collection of objects and thus does not have an interface in which you can click. Perhaps you meant a CListView ?

What does this line mean
if (((msg->eventType-FRAME_EVENT)>>12 & 0xf )==0)
eventType could be say 0xA002
and FRAME_EVENT is 0xA000
in partiualr I dont know what >> means.
Sorry to be thick.
|
|
|
|
|
It is four statements in one.
msg->eventType-FRAME_EVENT This subtracts FRAME_EVENT from msg->eventType .
>>12 This shifts the bits from the above sum to the right 12 places.
& 0xf This is the bitwise AND operator. 0xf is 15 in base-10.
==0 This compares the result of the above AND operation to 0.
Does that help?

Hi,
I have to use a MFC C++ DLL (unmanaged of course) in a C++ .Net project.
I have problems to do that. I've created a C++ .Net project and includes the MFC DLL.
My problems comes as soon as I call a method (ctor, dtor or method) from the MFC DLL.
I've got this kind of error :
error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol "public: __thiscall toto::toto(void)" (??0toto@@$$FQAE@XZ)
fatal error LNK1120: 2 unresolved externals
toto is the unmanaged class from the MFC DLL.
I call it in the C++ .Net class like this :
toto *p;
p = new toto();
(the first line compile but not the second)
Thanks,

hi,
i know i'm a bit off topic, but i cannot understand why so many people try to use managed code in unmanaged projects (and vice versa)...
i consider .NET has been designed to be portable, that means the code don't depend on the system it is running on, but uses only functions from the framework.
so, any explainations ?

I have embedded an swf file into a C++?MFC dialog. Everything is great, except that the program uses a massive amount of memory that builds up over time.
I have discovered that this problem exists if the swf is played in IE as well.
The Flash.ocx seems to decode/decompress every frame that is displayed as it comes, then never discards the old frames from memory.
I would love to be able to discard the old frames, and I believe it is possible, because a product called Zinc/FlashStudio Pro is able to do this flawlessly http://www.multidmedia.com/software/zinc/
Does anyone have any suggestions for doing this?
My game's RAM consumption hits critical levels after about an hour of use.

I know we cricticalsection can accessed within a process which created it. But Mutexes can be accessed from a different thread even if its on a different process than which created it.
But wot about semaphores and events. Can they be accessed from different process than which created them ? Please throw some light.
Thanks in advance

AFAIK, Critical sections are the only process specific synchronization mechanisms in Windows. Everything else, which includes semaphores and events, are kernel level synchronization mechanisms and therefore can be used across multiple processes.
