Hey I am developing a wave file player using wavein waveout api. I want to provide a fecility for fast foward and fast rewind using a dragbar control. please help me how do i find the total playing time of the wave file.

Calculate it.
Get the size of the data chunk and the WAVEFORMATEX struct.

Bits per second = nChannels * nSamplesPerSec * wBitsPerSample; (for uncompressed WAV)
Length (in seconds) = ( filesize * 8 ) / Bits per second;

Don't try it, just do it! Wink | ;-)

Hi,
I'm looking for a software that would help me translate my soft. I have a dozen plugins with embedded resources so I have a lot of resources dlls to generate.
Do you know some tool where I would be able to edit all languages and that would then generate the missing plugins resources ?

Above all I'm looking for an intuitive not too expensive software.

I've studied tools here at CodeProject like LocalizeRC and Language Builder, but none of them fits my need.
Any suggestion someone ?

No! But it looks like you're looking for magic. Forget the plugins, what you want is .dll files based on the language.

Now; If you want to try and be sneeky: take advantage of googles' translate page (let them translate; and then copy the results).

I'm sorry I think I've seen such a tool, like WinTranRC and also RC Localize. Maybe I didn't explained myself correctly.

I have a software with severall plugins. Those plugins are not resource dlls, they are plugins dlls. I would like to translate my whole soft, which includes translating the plugins.
If I support say 10 foreign languages, I will have 120 languages dlls to maintain. Since I can't handle so many dlls I would need a tool that would read the english resource file of each plugin and generate the translated RC files.
I don't necessarily ask for a single click solution, I can repeat the operation 12 times (1 for each plugin).

Copying the result in translated RCs is just what I want to avoid, I want to do it once and then forget.

If your making a program that has constant communication between computers... Would you find a box and turn it into a server and write a server/client program?... or would you Pay for a domain and "run" all data in the exe thru and from with http?

Depends upon the network location,if computers are in same room building sockets are better idea!!

but if one computer is in delhi ,another in sydney or LA then HTTP will be much better idea!!

The point is not here. Excuse me my english is not very good. Ok let me try to explain what i mean. Lets say that N applications have installed N hooks.
Is there a way to have another application distinct from the other N and that is not correlated with them, and that is able to list the N applications that installed the hooks ?

For example, lets say that i download a keylogger and start it. Is there a way to have an anti-keylogger that will immediately say "Keylogger XXX has been detected, process id=12345, filename=SomeFileName" ?

Yes, using the function I indicated (some things you have to dig for). Here is a rough draft:

Hi All,

I have created a MFC MDI project. When the user select "File->Open" from menu (open a jpg file), I need to display the image in a new child window. How can I do this.
