General3D Cylinder button control Pin

Hi All,

I want to create a custom 3D cylinder shape button control using VC++. I would like to know the best approach to create such a button control.

My basic requirements are,

1. The application is working on 9x and NT based operating system
2. The application supports to unicode.

I have desided two options

1. Create a custom button class derived from CButton and overwrite the draw functionalities. Here I will use some mathmatical logic to create the cylinder button shape.

or

2. Use Open GL to create the button control. Are there any issues with MSLU (unicode layer for 9x) with Open GL.

Which options is best to choose?.
