What isn't? Smile | :)

Seriously, though, the major things you need to learn is what the CLI actually means for developers and what not to use. Sticking with the classes you find in mscorlib.dll, System.dll, the ADO.NET assemblies, and a few others means that if a platform impements the CLI correctly you're application with work correctly.

I urge you to read Inside the .NET Framework[^] for information about the CLR and assemblies. If you're really serious about being a great .NET (or should I say, CLI) developer, then you should read the rather hefty CLI specification you can find - along with other great topics - at http://msdn.microsoft.com/netframework/programming/clr/[^]. You can see the official documents on the ECMA web site at http://www.ecma-international.org/publications/standards/ecma-335.htm[^].

If you're interested in the C# Language Specification - which is also an ECMA standard - see http://www.ecma-international.org/publications/standards/Ecma-334.htm[^].
