I have worked in the .Net Environment since Visual Studio 2003, and I currently work with the Florida Senate as an Information Systems Engineer. Our IT department works in a heavy OOP/n-tier/design-patterns environment. I am mainly responsible for designing the architecture for our new MVC 4 enterprise suite of applications.

I am currently designing our Tracker application which will enable the public to track a variety of things (i.e. - Bills, Committees, Statutes, etc.) through FLSenate.gov's web-site. Tracker will implement the Observer design pattern to send out notifications to users subscribed to an item which has a new notification. There will be various types of notifications which will allow a user to customize how often to receive notifications for an item (e.g. - Instant Notifications, or Aggregated Notifications of 15 min, 30 min, 1 hour, 1 day, etc.)
