When a multi-billion corporation with the resources of Microsoft even has a development environment that allows the creation of a dialog that has the only button disabled, I think I'm right to be less than impressed. I don't even know if this IS an error. It tells me nothing whatsoever of use and doesn't provide any advice or guidance on where to find further assistance or to help me resolve the problem. The dialog itself is not draggable, does not allow the message to be copied to the clipboard, does not follow acknowledged best practice for message box styling, etc.. etc..

And since we're discussing MS's stupidity at this point, how about the fact that if I search for "install XBox Game Bar" I get to the MS page about XBox Game Bar, with a big button saying "Get" at the right. here[^] If I click on that "Get" button, eventually (i.e. after quite a few seconds) another window opens, with (apart from a slightly different menu) exactly the same logo, heading, text and "Get" button. It's like nothing has happened. WTF is that all about? I have to hit "Get" again which, I assume, downloads the application and then the Get button changes to "Install". When I click on "Install", nothing happens. Absolutely zilch, zero, nada... nothing. The cursor doesn't even change. No new window, no message pop-up, absolutely nothing. There are three dots to the right of "Install", which, if I click, opens a single "submenu" item "Install on my devices". Well, I'm hardly in a position to install on someone else's devices, am I - or is MS security now such that one can install stuff on other people's devices??
Anyway, if I click on that, I get an overlay (NOT a separate dialog box or window, just an overlay with a thin line around it). It's headed "Where do you want to install?". At the bottom are two buttons: "Cancel", and "Install now". Install now is disabled. I would copy and paste the text that explains things (a little) but once again MS have not enabled this functionality, making it so much harder to search for appropriate information. The gist is that I don't have an applicable device linked to my MS account. Seems I need to sign in on a device with my MS account. So, which is it? I don't have a device linked to my account, or I'm not signed in?

This garbage is on the Microsoft Store application. This is supposedly how I'm to install MS products these days. MS are so arrogant / incompetent that this, one of their preferred channels for getting users to install their software, is buggy, unhelpful, inconsistent and seems to despise any would-be user.

Don't get me wrong - I love some MS products. Windows 2000 was great, rock-solid and installed in minutes. Office 2003 gives me everything I need for my productivity applications. And I even quite like VS2015, though it's bloated and unintuitive in many areas. Oh, and I installed the old Calc.exe to replace the abortion that comes with Windows 10.
