and 5 years from now there's going to be separate insurance required for phones.... getting a bit much to include under home contents.

I really dislike gimmicks. Be it foldable phones (what is the purpose?) or self-lacing sneakers.

Only confirms that what people really want is a "tablet" (size).
And since everyone knows that an IOS or Android "phone" (or IPad) cannot compete with a Windows 10 "machine", the MS Surface is the device to watch (and target) IMO.
With most Surface (probably) kept in S Mode, that means Windows Store.
Most of the offerings in the store are rewrites (and dull looking); something "new" could make a $plash.

Yeah, this is not marketed towards me since I don't really like phones. I've got a gen 1 Moto E which cost me $59 (saw later on sale for $29). It makes phone calls just fine and runs the couple Apps I use with no problems.

I may be in the minority here, but I just wanted to share that it's awesome working with bright devs and managers who instinctively "get it". I love the culture of my (not so) little company, where the CTO and every dev manager started out in the trenches, writing code for decades before moving up the food chain.

Actually, no. But I've been blessed with a wonderful work environment ever since I started working exclusively at early-stage companies since 2000. Aside from having the privilege of working with folk smarter (a lot smarter) than myself, it's been a rewarding experience to see how an idea is taken from germination to fruition as a software product.

Yes, I think that's almost always true. Every one of the four times I've switched companies in my 30+ year career, it's been because I'd become the de-facto "guru" in my area. I think that's when one stops learning and becomes complacent.
