In order to paste, you have to have previously copied your password to the clipboard, and it stays there until cleared. That's a security risk right there.
Actually, I've been concerned about copying my password to the clipboard for a while now.

Not if you're using a decent password manager. For example, KeyPass gives you a 30-second countdown, and then clears the clipboard.
Although quite how that will work with the new "Cloud Clipboard" feature remains to be seen.

But to get to the clipboard the malicious software* has to be running something that runs in your user context and that means your computer is already taken over.
Also, that is why they could allow just the paste functionality because it would be up to the user then to copy into the clipboard or not.
Fear of paste is akin to not allowing the user to turn on the oven because a malicious person may have placed a stick of dynamite in it unbeknownst to the cook.

Or you are running remote desktop in a windows server...
Then you can paste what other person has copied  (And yes... this is true, and I don't know what to do: To cry or to laugh)

Not being able to past my password or using a password manager will force me to use a password that potentially are unsafe because I need to write them down or they are easy to guess.

Hi all,
My mother uses an all in one computer.
Windows 10 x64 installed...
Cursor gets stopped each few seconds, making it really annoying to work with it...
If I start Windows in Safe Mode, then it works like charm.
Tried to find and update all drivers but now luck.
Malwarebytes and windows defender have not found anything there...
How would you diagnose/solve it?
PS: No battery problems here...

I would run a Malwarebytes scan - it's free to download and use. See if that turns up anything.
In the past antivirus applications could have big foot prints although I think that has now been fixed - however it would also be worth opening up the task manager to see if anything is hogging the cpu/memory/disk.

Updated Malwarebytes says no malware found...
Have to look again at the hogging possibility, but as far as I remember I can't see anything there...

I recently had problems with the mouse, had to click everything twice, plugged in another mouse and presto the problem was gone !

but is it [also] a touch screen? (noticed you said mouse, but a lot of ppl with large [glossy] touch screens use a mouse as they dislike the screen smudges and/or sitting so close.)
anyhoo, I remember a ways back for a client finding out that some [older] touch screen all-in-1's did that jerky motion thing when people used a normal mouse but left the touch screen enabled too (even though nothing came near the screen.)

Go to Device Manager...
Look under Human Interface Devices...
You should see one called HID-compliant touch screen.
Right-click it and choose "Disable device".
I had to do this on one laptop (which has a touchscreen) at one point.

Is the mouse a wireless mouse?
If so is there anything near the mouse such as a mobile phone, speaker or radio?
Sometimes wireless mice can be affected by nearby electronic items.

I just had a similar issue. It turns out the batteries in the mouse were almost dead. Replaced them and it works like a charm.
I know you said no battery problems, but sometime the 'new' batteries aren't.
Also, check the battery contacts for corrosion or dirt.

Does it happen to be an HP? My wife's HP AIO is a real POS. It had repeatedly had issues installing Win10 updates, repeatedly applying, failing, and rolling back. I had to use system restore to get it back to a usable state, then disable the wireless NIC and touchscreen. This let it get through the WU and seemed to solve some of the sketchy behavior such as losing keystrokes and randomly shifting focus to the windows start button. Also, it was losing focus on the login screen. (while typing the password...quite aggravating!) She hasn't complained about it since, so I can only assume those annoyances have been fixed, or she's just tired of complaining. (I'd bet money on the former!) Good luck!
