I get that all the time - it seems I have a knack for finding the weirdest software problems nobody else ever sees, so unless I'm talking directly to a developer who has an interest in actual feedback (in other words - good luck when it comes to MS), they never get fixed...

Not quite. Every time I used Microsoft Connect to report an issue, the longest the issue lasted was three days. Two of them were summarily deleted with no response whatsoever. Another was marked "not an issue" and closed immediately.
I wish they'd document the color of lipstick I should wear when sucking at the Microsoft teat...

Depends on the avenue I guess. But yeah, I remember MS Connect being rather useless, with every issue getting resolved as either "by design" or "won't fix"

what do u do with it that's making it slow ? maybe some havoc plugin is leaking memory or thread dragging... check your cpu... disable plugin...try a repair...

I truly regret to inform you that around these heah parts the street dogs (maa soi) are the most pathetic collection of walking-hobbling-limping wounded canines one would hope never to see. An outcome of the world's most dangerous traffic.
Many are abandoned, some dumped at the local Wat (Buddhist temple).

I enjoyed it when developing algorithms because it has nothing on screen, it helps my concentration. There's only me and the algorithm and there can only be one survivor, no witnesses.
For anything more complex than a medium sized C or assembler file it becomes less comfortable, and it has nothing that Notepad++ doesn't have on Windows.

I am genuinely saddened at the passing of Sir Ken Dodd, a legend of the British comedy circuit. I saw his show many times and, it's no exaggeration, they really did run to 5 hours. That a man in his 80s and 90s could run that length of material with no signs of fatigue was a testament to how talented he really was.
