Ah yes, the lovely Demodex! I used to scare students with this one! However, on the comforting side I believe not everyone has them, though most do and they become more likely with age. They crawl out onto your face at night in order to mate. I suppose washing one's face immediately on waking might help keep their numbers down!

I'm working with a friend on a writing project. She needs a few words in Greek for an alternate history, but my knowledge is pretty limited. I've come up with what I think are the words she needs, but I'd like some feedback before handing them off.
έξοδείγμος (m), έξοδείγμα (f), έξοδείγματα (pl) - The main pivot point where the timelines diverged were six heroes (four men, two women) who defeated The Thing, a Cthulhu-level evil being, around 3 BC. I constructed the word out of δειγμα, "example", and έξο-, "beyond," to mean an example beyond the norm. In the English of the day, it is translated as "Paragon."
ἀρετή - The Paragons became the inspiration of a religion. The equivalent of saints in this faith have the title "arete." The word is a noun meaning "virtue" and can be used as an adjective and as a noun meaning someone who exemplifies a virtue. If this is a reasonable use, does the word have different male and female forms, and what would be the plural?
μετά έξοδείγματα - The calendar system starts with the defeat of The Thing. I believe this would mean "after the Paragons" and is noted in English as ME. Προτού έξοδείγματα would mean "before the Paragons" and be noted in English as PE. These are the equivalent of AD and BC in our timeline.
That should be it; I'm confident about the other words. How'd I do?
