We have Tim Horton's here, however the donuts are from frozen. Krispy Kreme is fresh at the store, but when they are in a convenience store look out. We have a chain called Jolly Pirate that I personally like (made at the store).

In the UK, Oxfordshire. We're very much Krispy Kreme in the office. We all have our favourites a colleague and I keep going for the same flavour, bastard gets it everytime.

A person tried for the Darwin award this morning. I missed hitting them by about a meter.
This was a dark rural two lane road (no street lights), and they were waring dark cloths. Even with an oncoming car lights I did not see them until I was upon them. Why they were crossing there or even why they were there I have no idea.
Scared me awake!

It's not just that - though that's the main part for me - if you don't, and they die...
In the UK that's a minimum of "leaving the scene of an accident" and possibly "manslaughter" or "causing death by dangerous driving", and I'm sure most countries have similar legislation (In France I think they have a "Good Samaritan" law which could cover it since the walker could need medical help and you drove away). Either way, if they die then the police start assuming "hit and run" and go looking for you until proven otherwise!

The French Good Samaritan law was obviously what caused the driver of the car in Nice (a normally pleasant city in the south of France) to stop for a moment after he hit me (I rolled over the bonnet, up the windscreen onto the roof and then slid off sideways to the ground) to make sure I sat up before he zoomed off down the narrow street. The various onlookers, stopped, looked for a moment and then moved on - except for a young chap who came over to help me up and see if I was OK (he was an English tourist). It turns out, luckily, that Peugeot 309s don't hurt you very much when they hit you.

Its called the herd effect. You clearly can see someone who is too lazy to use the underpass who is about 50 meters away from him and risk his life trying to cross 4 lane busy as hell road. And he is never alone. Once the subject is seen trying to pass few other subject join him to raise the coffin sales.
And they say humans are above animals. I have seen dogs pass roads safer than humans

Ohh yes - I've come across this many times before.
My particular beef are cyclists who wear black jeans, black jumper and a black hat (not a helmet) with no lights.
It's as if they want to die.

Agreed - I tend to find it's those, dare I say it, 'Nazi' cyclists who use two of the fit inducing flashy lights just to piss of motorists.
