Also in the late period they killed huge numbers of cats to mummify, so they could deliver messages to a God for you. The number of cat mummies far exceeds the number of any other surviving ancient Egyptian object.

(Unfortunately, my wife and daughters have been domesticated. They insist on having a dog.  )

Don't tell my wife that. She hates all cats generally. She would say they are the spawn of the devil and have NEVER been domesticated.
Being incredibly superstitious, black cats make her crazy.
I grew up with cats and can take them or leave them.
Developers are like cats in that you can't heard them either.

I am only 57, and young people in the Metro train offer me their seats. Some of them also call me as "grandpa".
