Visual Studio is the wrong choice in this case.
He should've offered:
1) Download Python | Python.org[^]
2) Press F12 (open dev tools) for JavaScript -- Probably Download | Node.js[^] since the OP wanted a "programming software" for download.
3) PHP: Downloads[^] - if the OP wanted a web "programming software"
And we all know Python is the correct choice here.
