How often does your get cleaned?

Hmm. I don't have a travel mug, but I do have one of these[^].
A friend of mine told me the trick to cleaning them and any other stainless steel drink containers: use denture cleansing tablets. My 2 quart thermos takes about a dozen tablets, some warm water, and an overnight soak. I clean it about once a month.

The denture tablets also works for Glass Decanter (wine decanter).

I use OxyClean - works like a charm.
And, generally it gets cleaned when my wife starts going 'ewwwww'

Back when I used one, it was once per day used, after the last refill is gone. Can't stand having sticky residue or dried tea/coffee in a mug; makes the next cup taste worse.

No civil rights, and they never complain. I'm sure they fear the god that sends a Great Flood their way every day.

Travel mug: end of the trip (depending on location, that may be a couple of days)
Work mug: when I get around to it, maybe once a week, but I drink multiple cups of coffee per day from it.

I don't have a travel mug, but I do drink out of different coffee mugs and tea cups every day. I wash them out after I finish the drink (or may be an hour later if I'm in the middle of something).

What is a travel mug? Must be one of this American things.

When we visit my wife's mother, that is a 14 to 15 hour drive.
So, we bring insulated cups with lids in the vehicle with us.
When we stop to get fuel for the vehicle and ourselves, refill the cup.

None of mine are 5 years old!

Whenever I leave it in the kitchen sink it appears to be magically cleaned. Every time I do this it is nice and clean the following morning. I don't know if this is a special feature, perhaps of the sink - it seems to work also with various pieces of crockery such as coffee mugs that I leave there so I think it is probably a sink feature.
I mentioned this once to my wife who just gave me a very peculiar look and then stomped off for some reason!
