We could create a class in C# that did NOT inherit from object... I think that would solve the arbitrary multiple inheritance restriction...

I'm going to create a class that inherits from a rich deceased uncle and implement it at my bank.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is

You got a rich uncle!? OMG
Remember (from the movie "Oliver"):

Don't you have to be the son of the Nigerian Minister of Finance to do that?

Yes, but you would also have to be terminally ill and have 1 million in a trust fund just waiting for you to send a small deposit to collect it.

Son, you just won't cut it in Nigeria:
"1 million" in Nigeria should be some figure north of 100 million, to be authentic Nigerian. "Small deposit" should be at least 10 million.

Or you have to be stuck on the international space station with no way home, and those paychecks just keep piling up...

That stupid, idiotic "space station" scam was no doubt inspired by "The Martian." That was a *great* book that I read from cover to cover in one, long day. I just couldn't put it down. I barely ate that day.

The DependencyObject class doesn't have properties for interop items, such as HwndSource, nor a virtual method that matches the HwndSource.hook delegate signature.
Yes, I realize I can create a base class, but that's problematic for me because it renders the designer completely useless due to a bug in VS2013 (which also sucks today) with regards to projects that are stored on a network share (which I cannot change due to idiotic group policies).
EDIT ---------
My only recourse is to create an interface and then modify EVERY one of the 30-some-odd windows I have in the app so far. What a pain in the freakin ass.
Please do not suggest upgrading to VS2015, or changing where the code is. I cannot do it. It's not allowed - they delete anything I put on my C drive every night.

So upgrade to VS 2015...
... or try Smith & Wesson - The original Point and Click interface...

I can't upgrade. I can't even create folders on the freakin C drive. It's part of the lets-make-programmers-life-a-living-hell security policies on DoD networks.

Could using a virtual folder (mklink) get around the issue with the network share?
|
|
|
|
|
I cannot change ANYTHING on my system. I tried using a folder on my local drive for the project, and it was DELETED during the nightly group policy sweep. Everything I do has to be on the shared network drive, which breaks the designer in VS2013.

That sucks. We have a domain folder redirection policy here which maps our desktop and documents folders to a nw share and sometimes some of the software doesn't like it and has issues with it.
I was thinking a symlink could map it to a folder on your hdd. Or what if the shared folder is mapped to a drive letter, could that work? Instead of \share\folder it would be z:\ That's if you have permissions to do such a mapping.
