I have a 18 years old FIAT 600 with a ruined right side.
Nobody would steal it.

Recently I saw a nice brice tag for a used car, a 1920s Bugatti. 2,8 million €.
The language is JavaScript. that of Mordor, which I will not utter here
This is Javascript. If you put big wheels and a racing stripe on a golf cart, it's still a f***ing golf cart.

Believe me, a FIAT 600 is no car to steal, especially in its base configuration. Think 4 wheels and an engine... not necessarily a seat and a steering wheel. Some time ago it also had a malfunctioning frontal crossbeam so it would autonomously punish the unlucky thief in the worst way that's possible.

Based on your title, I guess you're saying this approach worked.

I am writing DOCUMENTATION in preference to coding!
In all honesty, I've hit a brick wall in what I was doing, so I decided to do something else on the project that might just show me the way forward. Sadly it looks increasingly like an *** OUT OF CHEESE ERROR - REDO FROM START ***

As one who has had too raise many projects from no documentation to a full presentable user manual, which you did not have to create the widget to understand. Starting the docs first is a good(ish) idea. While it can seem to others as busy work it does help, when you start see the sunrise to know what the thing will do and how it should work!

Great! I too was put into documentation, and thought it as a curse.
But, on looking at all the pitfalls in the earlier documents, I realized that: Writing a document succinctly is indeed an art.
