I set up my monitors with two different pictures yesterday, and when I powered up today, there they were. (And it started faster than Win7 did as well...sort of. Some apps take an absolute AGE to load for the first time, but do shut down quicker)
Then I viewed a JPG file. Once I had worked out what app to use, anyway. And it was on the wrong monitor, so I moved it to the correct one. But it went green...
Eventually worked out that I could position the image so it was half on one and half on the other, and switch it between perfect on both, and green on both by moving it a single pixel left or right. 
Turns out it's because under Win7 I had calibrated one monitor to my printer, and not the other. Delete the calibration, and it's all fine. So now, I'll have to redo the calibration (which takes all morning, so I'll leave that for now.
Then I noticed I had apparently acquired a US keyboard...install the UK pack: download 25Mb, couple of seconds. Install? 40 minutes...and needs a restart. Close all apps first, and notice that both monitors now have the same image.  Reboot.
Two images are back! Yay! They have swapped monitors, but I can live with that...
And while I'm moaning, why the heck have they separated the Start menu and the Search to two buttons? It worked beautifully in Win7 on the same button...
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Most of your issues seem related to having two monitors, send me a second monitor and I will test it for you.

Nah, I think you need the graphics card and the printer as well. Better just send the computer and all its peripherals!

While you are investigating the issue, you could get Griff a replacement typewriter for the time being.
Maybe he's more comfortable than that and doesn't want the computer back.

I just switched to a single 3440x1440 at work and it is working pretty well, though at home I have 4 2560x1440 and a 3440x1440, so I get your meaning.

Because they want you to use Cortana which requires no buttons, obviously!

Right-click on the taskbar, and select "Cortana -> Hidden". The search box / button will disappear, but you can still start typing on the start menu to search.

Last W10 update it pulled down a new graphics driver and I lost a monitor.
I rolled it back and everything was fine.
Green is cause by accelerated graphics checked.

To be fair, the search is still on the start button if you just start typing. So you can hide the search box via the taskbar right-click menu and get that windows 7 feel happening. But of course the actual search results are another matter.

I have listened to so many of the tech presenters/Tutors, but this guy makes it feel like a breeze.

But the applause at the end seem to agree? I've been watching much longer videos of his sessions and definitely I'd give him a 5! If you have not yawned at least once during a presentation, it should qualify for a 5.
