I just fixed a bug in an old piece of crap code that was bugging me for several weeks because it's near impossible to identify what the code is actually doing. Now I can hope again that I never have to touch this steaming pile of legacy code again - YAY!

3.5 hour commute? The last time I did one of those was a 50-year flood in the San Francisco Bay. All highways were going nowhere.

- Feeling less crappy about having the flu. (I'be been nearly comatose for the last 2 days  )
- Less than a month before going to Italy/Venice for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. (part of 2 weeks italy vacations)

Being fairly new to c# .net, I managed to make the system tray balloon notification work in a Console Application.
All I had to do was run the application and create my own context for it.
Feels like a break through and I can move on to other aspects of the program.
Might I also mention that tomorrow is Friday and I think it's going to be an interesting evening/night.
Can't say more in the Lounge though

I'm sitting here working, and casually replying to messages from people who appear to be in love with a minor celebrity.
Mind you, it's getting a bit boring, because the only thing I have to say (and, indeed the only thing that I have said) on the subject is that employees who are violent with their colleagues are subject to instant dismissal.
I think your adoration of Clarkson must be addling your brains enough to make you interpret that as something completely different.
If so, it's castles in the air, kiddo.
Here's my only opinion on the subject, once more, in case you still haven't understood, despite my having said it multiple times:
Employees who are violent toward cow-orkers should be fired on the spot.
p.s. I've got a pal who can make up posters of Clarkson naked. If you start with a four-figure offer, I'm sure we can arrive at a price for them.
