The Lego Movie - I liked this (much better than past Lego movies).
X-Men: Days of Future Past - I haven't seen this yet I'll wait till it comes on the TV. I'm not really an X-men fan (I never read the comics when I grew up and find the films OKish)
The Grand Budapest Hotel - This is going to be available on TV this coming Friday - Having been anticipating this one.
Guardians of the Galaxy - Watched this last night - Thought it was great, my Son loved it too going to watch it again with my Daughter.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier - Saw this a couple of weeks back. Thought it was OK. Have the same feelings as X-men to this.
I remember last year you posted about what films you are looking forward to seeing in 2014 (I think you might have even provided a link to site that showed what months the films were due out on). I found that very useful.

All three Singer movies are good. Both Wolverine & this movie save this franchise for now. X1 is the main reason for all super hero movies of last & current decade. Even I never read comics but watched the TV-series in youtube long time ago.

Both're the best of Marvel movies IMO.

The Lego Movie - probably my favourite of the year 
X-Men: Days of Future Past - a bit of a let down after First Class 
Guardians of the Galaxy - was fun but instantly forgettable 9in fact it was only your post reminded me I'd seen it)
Interstellar - I liked this one, had a bit of thought behind it for a change
Godzilla - not as bad as I was expecting, took me back to the original Japanese movies
Robocop - again, not as bad as expected
Mr. Peabody and Sherman - Meh, usual formula, done to death.
Worst movie of the year for me has to be Paddington - went with family to see a film about Paddington Bear not a politically motivated movie (I don't think that blatant political propaganda is appropriate in a kids movie whatever side of the fence you sit on).
I got a Cineworld Unlimited subscription for the year though so looking forward to seeing Blade Runner, Mad Max 1 & 2 (and the new one when it comes out), Star Wars 7 and a few others

I've not seen it, although wife and child did, and loved it, but everyone else I know who has seen it or have seen comments on social media by who has seen it have loved it.

I've seen it and loved it (so did the kids). I get the point about the political message I noticed it at the time (basically it's about being good to immigrants) it is there, and although that concept probably should be taught to kids I think that it is so blatant that the film has another agenda (because it's aimed at kids it's quite patronising for adults) which is slightly annoying but for me it didn't take away from it being a good movie.

I guess because I grew up with the books I was expecting something else.
My kid enjoyed it, I'm just tired of everyone pushing some kind of self-righteous ("mock-ethical"?) message in everything these days rather than just making a purely enjoyable film (which I think a film about Paddington Bear should have been).

Yeah I agree with your point, but I didn't let that stop me enjoying it. If the film had been to a poorer standard then it would have annoyed me a lot more.

For me DOFP is my favorite of the series. Actually I like the old cast instead of First class cast. So I liked this movie very much. Soundtrack is great. John ottoman returned to this after X2. Apart from these, 70's scenes brought some nostalgia. And they have added some humor in this one.

I'm not really a Lawrence fan - I just didn't think the film really went anywhere.
Nothing was really resolved in it by the end, they were all just back to where we thought they would be before the film started (and there was no doubt that this was where they would end up - got to keep the franchise going)

Atleast it cleared the X3's mistakes.

Frankly I prefer few more movies in this franchise because I don't want a terrible reboots for now like Amazing spiderman. Soon Fantastic four

Tried twice but couldn't get tickets for those shows. I'm lazy one sometimes.

I don't know, all seemed logical enough to me (although there were a few unlikely scenarios). Major plus points:
a) It wasn't all the alien's fault (as there were no aliens).
b) We didn't get an "Independence Day" style speech before the inevitable victory.
The books falling bit was a big stretch - I prefer Sunshine, but Interstellar still wasn't a bad movie
