I'm not ready to discard it completely, especially with Bernadette coming on strong, but I can almost predict a few of the episodes... how far into the season do we go before Amy takes Sheldon?

I see this a little like "Mostly Harmless". It was weak compared to the rest of H2G2, but compared to the average, still a very funny book.
BBT is still better than most of the sitcoms. I especially liked Amy's attempt to play Penny off against Bernadette and Howard standing up to Sheldon's intellectual snobbery. I think that the development of Penny's new job has some opportunities.
As far as jumping the shark is concerned, I don't see it? Surely the biggest criticism, as it always is on long running sitcoms is the staleness of some of the established jokes (Amy: "I'm OK with you not being perfect"; Sheldon: "I want to break up with her"), but if they abandon those, that would be jumping the shark!

It just doesn't have the same spark. Better to go out at the top than meander along until you get cancelled.
There are some other good shows out there - just wish I could think of any of them...

Raj's the only single guy now, so they could sex up the show by giving him hot new girlfriends every episode (like how Jerry and George somehow had awesome dates all the time despite being uninteresting, rude people).

We'll have to agree to differ. Not only is there always a variation in both quality and perceptions of quality, but I'd rather watch something that's not as good as it used to be than watch something else that's not up to the standard it is now.
I want to be entertained not tie myself to some abstraction of excellence, but that's 'cos I'm a old fart that's set in my ways!

Nothing on tv is excellent (ok, maybe the good wife) but I'd like to laugh at a comedy not cringe or find it completely unfunny or rehashing old jokes and scenarios.

My wife and I still enjoy watching it.
To quote her, "I married Sheldon, gave birth to Amy Farrah Fowler and Bernadette is moving in".
I'm not TOTALLY like Sheldon, but I do struggle sometimes with social interactions. Our daughter is 9 and autistic (Rain Man in her math abilitities) and my wife's 17 year old niece moved here to go to college - and she IS like Bernadette.
So... my wife watches the show to better understand us and to help us better cope with the world.
And.. as far a sit-com's go... it isn't the regular dose of, "Look at the man.. he's a buffoon..." They made be geeks, but they are not drooling buffoons.

Like many shows Big Bang has out lasted itself, CSI, NCIS, Downtown Abby (proof I'm not biased toward US shows), the first series funny, 2nd not so much and down from there!

Any of you guys experienced in building integrations for Dynamics GP?
We have many integrations built on Integration Manager (a quirky and buggy tool) we're thinking of switching to SmartConnect, but none of the examples I've seen do complex account distributions. I was hoping that someone has used both and has a handle on relative strengths and weaknesses?
Today's poll got me thinking "Do I really want to wrestle with another technology?!!!"

My only experience with DGP was trying to extract some data via SQL. This site[^] was reasonably useful for making sense of the incomprehensible table names, and the owner seems to be actively answering questions in the comments.

Thanks Richard. Getting data out is actually fairly easy. I get someone in Accounting to use Smartlist or Excel Builder, which creates a SQL View, named the same as their list, that I can map on to. We use Integration Manager to push data in and we are "quite sophisticated" at that (meaning VB Script!)
Sometimes IM drops import mappings and its error reporting can be a little terse. On occasion we've had rebuild an integration from scratch. My favourite bug is when there are no records across a Left Join it will slip in the value from the previous parent record!
With my looming retirement, Accounting (which includes my wife!) is getting nervous and our MS partner is recommending switching to SmartConnect .....

We're on the point of giving up on extracting meaningful accounting data from GP. I'm not sure if it's the product, or just the way the data has been created, but there doesn't seem to be any way to connect a general-ledger transaction (GL20000 / GL30000) to the corresponding entry in the customer (RM30101) or supplier (PM30200) ledgers. If we import the ledgers in isolation, it's looking like a manual process to go back over 10 years of transactions to tie them together.

Have you tried one of the builder tools? If you can get the result in a report or list then you can use the generated SQL View to extract the data.
I let my Accounting folks build the output tools as a) they know Accounting far better than I and b) I'm lazy!

Part of the problem is, we don't have access to the front-end tools, only the SQL database.
From what we've seen, they're importing the data from several other systems into GP, and the import doesn't create any links between the ledgers. We're going to try to get access to the other systems to see if their copy of the data makes any more sense.

Did you try looking at the import batch numbers? I set the batch numbers on my own integrations (using VB Script/OLEDB) which helps with debugging/audit trails from my source data into GP. IM uses VB Script, SmartConnect uses .NET code (one reason to consider switching!)

She thinks that they're tied together using the sub-ledger "audit code" and that there's a canned report used for cross-checking. I just wrote a new article (2nd part of two) on how to write an RSS Feed Reader using Angular and Firebase API (nosql).
Anyway, there's another urchin who has written an article on how to download a feed reader and both times I've posted my articles, then the urchin reposts an "updated" article so his article gets placed on the main feed. But look at the revisions, they are like, changed the letter 'a' to 'a'. Uh, yeah, good stuff. Yes, I'm ranting.
It thought this place was for "those who code"?
Whatever.
I know this is not the world to call people out on their bad behavior because someone's feelings may get hurt, but give me a break, man. Make CodeProject better, or get lost.
Don't just gum up the works with useless crappy articles.

The worst result of this would be that your article is pushed down one level on the front page. Not sure why you are all worked up about it. Or are you concerned that seeing two articles on the same topic in the front page would take some readers away from your article?
