I was specifically referring to the current GM fatalities, not general statistics. OBTW, in my car (SUV) everyone is belted. Haven't needed them, thank goodness.

Hehe, imagine a parachute or a nuke "not working as advertised". Due to a subcontractors fault

Who in their right mind would buy an American car?

I am renting an Impala LT at the moment, and its got a hell of an engine. They used to be crap, but they aren't these days. Last time I had a Cruze, it too was a very good car. Quick enough, good handling, economical. THe lead we had in Europe has been eroded.

When are Americans going to learn that guns are bad and as long as they are legal things like this are always going to happen.....wait a minute did you say stabbing?

When are Americans going to learn praying doesn't work. It is Facebook Likes or Twitter Retweets that save people.
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

He's being sarcastic even though he's not. Facebook and Twitter have a much better chance of changing this since people are "living" there these days. Need to go update my page now.

I've said it many times now, it's a cultural problem.

All our problems would go away if they'd just legalize prostate institution.

You would get other problems instead, but at least you wouldn't notice them.

Did he also say no one was killed? Amazing.

If one million people pray, will it work?
I think not.

If the people who stabbed and killed were the ones praying instead of doing all that, sure.

So Penn schools and ChiCom rail stations should be avoided for knifing. Got it.

This ITEM reminded me of one of my very most annoying peeves: Someone requests I FAX them something.
I point out to them "What private individual will have a FAX machine at home, especially these days?". Along with this I end up presenting a litany about can I scan it and email it. Some nitwits even will ask my FAX number - and I . . . well KSS and all.
When will that evil paper spewing devil-span cease to plague us?

I think you need to look further down the Lounge. I'm actually fax-ambivalent.

The "reminded me" should be take very literally in that it brought the infernal machine into my consciousness.
Thereafter, I realized, being in the lounge, I could vent.

I have a Fax machine at home.
My printer doubles as a scanner, photocopier, and fax.
Never used it as a fax though...

FAX usually requires a land-line - which itself is becoming less common (non of my progeny have ever had a land line).
Although there are some differences (i.e., PC could be off), if you put in in the PSC+FAX you might as well just scan to a file. The file can be emailed -> viewed -> only printed if necessary.
