On a serious note, you'd be surprised as how many people do not like it, including me. The mere smell of it causes me nausea. Gin is very binary -- hence a programmer beverage ? -- either you love it or hate it, but I do not know anybody who is drinking some from time to time.

This is EXTREMELY old news and wasn't at all secret, except to journalists who don't pay attention and some crackpot who thinks he's just discovered something.

The only thing going nuts are these reporters.
I could only think that their Windows update was set to automatic and Windows normally wakes up the computer at 3AM (by default) and runs updates.

I can't give a citation, but I knew about this in 2010 when in the pre-release technical data Intel published (several articles do point out that Intel talked about this in 2011 when the chips were released in 2011.) This wasn't a secret. Moreover, the claims about what this does make absolutely no sense and appeal to people completely ignorant of how computers work.
