Is there a good reason that they called it "Cast Away", meaning to get rid of something, rather than "Castaway", someone left in the middle of nowhere?

I'm not sure. Perhaps they thought that the terms can be used interchangeably?

At least from my POV. People who know me know that I am listening music with the same commonness as Nagy is drinking gin, and I love Youtube to do so - Not because it is free, rather than the suggested videos on the right hand side of the current video - These suggestions lead me to not-so-well-known cover /& acoustic versions of great songs, for example Springsteen's Radio Nowhere[^], Brian Fallon | TGA's Old Haunts[^] or I even discover completly new cover artists, this young lady for example[^].
Looking at these great songs I think that maybe a part of my generation can grow up with good music, played by actual artists / musicians and having actual lyrics.
You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named "Bush", "Dick", and "Colon."

I have only two rational explanations for today's events:
0: Major electomagnetic disruption from solar flares
1: The last round of MS updates has finally hit my customer's workstations
I've had to switch to 'plan B' more than a few times today! TGIF!

I've had it with my provider and am looking to switch and Arvixe looked reasonable.
Any problems with them?
Good customer service?
Easy to use?
You get the idea are they worth a crap?
[edit]
Well I pulled the trigger and signed up for 6 months to kick the tires. Thanks y'all for your help!

I switched to Arvixe this year and have had only excellent service. I have the hosting service, but I actually only use the email and a folder on the site to hold pics I want to share. I can't think of anything I need a website for, having nothing of interest to say, but I like having email address that doesn't go away every time an ISP gets sold or fails.

I've used Arvixe before, but unfortunately that's the only host I've actually used myself, so I can't really give you a good comparison. But I'll give you my 2 cents.
I've found that their control panel sometimes is slow. This was annoying for things like when I just wanted to log on and put something onto the server. So in terms of use, it was easy but lag was annoying sometimes.
At that time, I had a website that was poorly built (my fault due to my lack of knowledge then) and it ended up crashing the app pool. I had to call customer service, and the first time around, they answered relatively quickly and were pretty quick in solving the issue. Then it crashed again not too long after, and the second call I had to wait over 20 minutes for a customer service representative. So I guess, their customer service is okay on average if I combine the two call experiences together.

The site I'm using now if I submit a tick it takes from 1-3 days for them to respond and rarely fixes the problem, I just learned to muddle through it.
In the last 6 months I've had occasion where the service has been down for 3-5 days.
I've had mdf files on there system for years and can't delete or copy them to backup because they are locked.
Now the latest is that I use FileZilla to retrieve some files to back them up and it connects but won't give me a listing of my files...just started doing this.
I submitted a ticket 3 hours ago with HIGH priority and haven't heard a thing from them.
I've been pissed in the past and threatened to switch but they somehow always managed to fix it just as I got ready to do it, but I think this time I'm just going to do it even though I am paid up until April of 2014.
[edit]
And in that same 3 hours I put in a request for information from Arvixe and have received 3 emails addressing all my questions.

Yeah, then for sure you'd find Arvixe better. Service down for anything longer than a day for non-maintenance reasons is just simply unacceptable. I believe they are also pretty active on their customer forums. I would say.. make the switch!
PS: And I also agree with others, money wise they have pretty awesome plans. Their personal class plans you can try for under 10 dollars a month, so you can always switch again if you didn't like it.

Yeah I think I will switch, the only bitch I have is that they advertise $5/mo. for the Personnel plane but when you go to checkout it's only if you sign for 2 years.

Yesterday I woke to find my domain unreachable, so when I got to work I started a chat with Arvixe tech support. That lasted about 5 minutes because the ISP at work is so lousy that I couldn't maintain a chat connection. When I got home, everything was working perfectly, and I had an email from the tech support rep I had tried to chat with, asking if there's another way we can connect in order to solve the problem, and explaining that there was a problem with the server I'm hosted on which they expect to solve shortly. That was from about 10 minutes after I gave up chatting. I replied and was immediately answered, in detail, about what event caused the short outage, and a 'thank you' for my patience. This was a different tech, but he knew exactly what the other guy had been working on, and asked me to get back to him immediately - directly - if the problem came up again.
That's far more responsive and professional behavior than I've received from any other hosting service, including the ones we've paid big buck$ to at work.

It sure is!
I've had nothing but problems with my hoster for the last 6-8 months and am so ready to switch, I just hate change.

I use Arvixe - and have for nearly three years.
Not bad - the email server appears to have problems occasionally, but they clear it fairly quickly, and it's annoying that they stopped new emails accounts being unlimited size (so my account(s) are, but some of Herselves are restricted.)
For the money, they aren't too bad at all.
The only instant messaging I do involves my middle finger.

No (non-self-inflicted) problems.
Only used the web problem ticketing system, so response time has been what would be exepcted via that sort of thing. It has always been within a day, and they follow up.
Easy to use. But, as mentioned elswhere, the web control panel is horribly slow. I avoid it whenever possible. (Use IIS Manager or SQL Manager from home, instead, for example.)

Am using them now and they are okay other than the application pool issues. I have a number of sites and they all go down at once and it can be a while till the app pool recycles. I have complained a number of times and they said they increased the size of the app pool but it still happens from time to time. Still, pretty good for the money.
Best was DiscountASP.Net but they are expensive.

Yeah I looked a them long and hard but couldn't justify the cost being a personnel site and not that much traffic and I'm retired on a fixed income!
