I use LUA on the ESP platform along with NodeMCU.
The less you need, the more you have.
Why is there a "Highway to Hell" and only a "Stairway to Heaven"? A prediction of the expected traffic load?

I use it almost everywhere.

I used to have lua on my windows machine but just looked and I no longer have it? Never used it much on the PC because it didn't seem that polished and as I remember no GUI.

Whenever I mess around with Lua, I use the Visual Studio Code Lua plug-in by sumneko. I have nothing bad to say about it. Works like a charm.

Thanks I'll check it out

Hi all, is is possible to search for posts on here containing specific text in the subject and posted between certain dates ? I'm keeping a log of CCC clues recording who set and solved them and would like a list of all clues posted this year without having to trawl through everything.
Pseudo code
Select * from ccc
where subject = 'CCC'
and posted_date between 01-01-2021 and 09-07-2021

Go to Search[^] and hover the mouse over the search box. It should show the various options. I don't think it accepts dates in the way you want.

Thanks Mathew that will save me some time

Porcupine Tree - Anesthetize[^]
So this week my friends and I shared some 00's metal classics.
We've had Opeth, Therion, Machine Head, Arcturus, Nightwish, Gojira, Tool, Porcupine Tree...
Porcupine Tree was on my list, mainly because I love this song so much.
It's been featured in the SOTW before and a few weeks ago we also had some Steven Wilson solo music.
Although his solo music has little to do with metal, and Porcupine Tree tends more towards rock and pop than metal too, Anesthetize is clearly rooted in metal.
It really doesn't matter what you call it, it's just a great track!
One downside to it, it's only 18 minutes long
Enjoy!

There is a point (7:48, for about 30 seconds) that reminds me very much of another song, but I cannot place the song. It actually repeats a few times.
It's possible I am just remember this song from before, but at 18 minutes it seems like something I wouldn't choose to listen to.
Do you know if they have a shorter version of this song? Or if perhaps that segment is a cover (or rip off) of another song? Or am I just talking nonsense (it's quite possible)?
The answer could very well just be that this is already the song I am thinking about. Perhaps it popped up on an Amazon station at some point.

As far as I know it's not a cover and it doesn't use segments of other songs.

Is it a coincidence that they're named after a Pantera song?
It's also just a regular English term, so it could be coincidence.

It seams that it is not a coincidence. Well spotted

Good memories with that song though

Maybe because @David-ONeil sends me a psytrance song almost weekly, but he hasn't done so this week

That's because you don't like the other good stuff. IE: Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush Norwegian Wood. You are too much of a metalhead!
And in that genre, Iron Maiden has done some of the best stuff.

Among the other oddities is the cat - one dead mouse, one live mouse (those are fun, have you ever seen how fast the little buggers can move?) and his first Stoat.
Yes, the cat has branched out from prey to predators: one freshly killed, still warm Stoat (a type of large Weasel, normally eats rodents, birds, eggs, and rabbits)
I didn't even know we had them round here ... well, I guess we won't if he's got a taste for them.
Thankfully, they aren't an endangered species!

Being a cat, he would naturally go for the greater of two Weasels.
