Yes, they tend to be like the Lernaean Hydra.

Ok ... slightly embarrassed to admit that I googled the "Lernaean" bit ... got distracted by Hydra the constellation, wandered around t'interweb a bit as if it (and I) were young once more, followed random, almost related, links and eventually ended up here ...http://www.space.com/19195-night-sky-planets-asteroids-webcasts.html[^]
Which leads to the question ... Does posting that link constitute me spamming about live streaming

Even though you posted that in the wrong forum I give you the credit of "not knowing it better" - I'd recommend you to try Ranorex[^] for GUI - Testing. They provide a great .Net & TFS integration, and a 30 day trial is free.

Following last years App Innovation contest I obviously needed a code signing certificate which I obtained from Global Sign. (because the other lot took so longer to do anything).
Unfortunately, GS have withdrawn the individuals code certificates.
I have looked at a few others, but the cost is excessive for what I can see, approx 4x price I paid last year for GS.
Anyone recommend who to use for personal (not business) code signing certificates (windows applications), that is a reasonable price?

Self-signed. All other prices aren't reasonable.

Tucows also resells comodo certificates through their author resource center, at the lowest
price I've seen.
https://author.tucows.com/index.php?action=auth&redirect=certs.php[^]
BTW, there's something incomprehensible about the business models involved. Tucows sells Comodo certificates for half the price that Comodo will sell you a certificate directly, but all of the
actual work is done by Comodo.
I agree with the other postings that dealing with Comodo is a pain, considering the fundamental bogosity
of the whole verification process, they make it a painful and time consuming charade to play out.

K software[^] I have not used them, but is reasonably priced.

Good info. We have been using Thawte, overpriced at around $250/yr., for many years. Bookmarked for next year. Thanks!

I second K-Software. They are reselling Comodo certificates for significantly less money than what Comodo charge. The Comodo part is Kafkaesque with indolent support (you need pliers to pull out any intelligible information); it seems that K-Software may help if you get stuck. If you survive Comodo's initiation rites, the rest is a breeze.

Different type of certificate - that is a SSL certificate, used for SHTML.
Dave is talking about Code Signing certificates, which mean that the publisher comes up for installation of the software, rather than a "do you trust this?" message.
An example would be: http://www.codeproject.com/services/certificates/[^] - it also explains what they are and what they do.
The only instant messaging I do involves my middle finger.
English doesn't borrow from other languages.
English follows other languages down dark alleys, knocks them over and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

Oh I thought even we could use these certificates for signing our application. Last time when I participated for Intel UltraBook Code Challenge , I happened to certify my executable and all participants got a free certificate for code signing from Comodo.
Thanks,

The CodeProject certificates are issued by Comodo.
