A vegetable IS an organism
It's an OO world.

Not only that, but...is it good for vegetarians to go round killing living organisms by the millions just to get a glass of water?

No I use them to mask out the bed-skunk smell

We don't have bed-skunks, just bed-badgers.
They nest in mattresses, and are attracted to the smell of alcohol. They kick your head vigorously to knock you unconscious, steal all your money, and use your mouth as a toilet.
Which explains how you feel in the morning...

They used to allow smoking inside the Pub's, which definitely felt like a skunk party had taken place the day after. As for hangovers, I never got them...

You're going to send them something completely rubbish thing that is in reality a kill yourself manual; because thats the only way to not hurt any animals. How about driven to you in a car that doesn't kill ants

They deserve EVERY SINGLE PENNY they can squeeze out of those hipster doofuses (doofi? doofae?)
Good on them.

"Doofii" is the correct plural I believe.[^]

On my MSDN subscription I got plenty of edition of SqlServer 2014.
Including the little know developer edition.
Basically I would like the minimal edition with SqlServer Management inside! Would the "Developer" edition do?
It's not very clear...
|
|
|
|
|
Developer edition is single-user edition but with all the features you can get - so you can develop with it any application but can not use it in real-life environment...

Does it include Sql Management Studio?

SQL Server 2014 Developer edition lets developers build any kind of application on top of SQL Server. It includes all the functionality of Enterprise edition, but is licensed for use as a development and test system, not as a production server. SQL Server Developer is an ideal choice for people who build and test applications. For feature list of every edition (development edition is not listed as it is the same as enterprise): http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc645993.aspx#Mgmt_tools[^]

I just looked at that, and it the first time I've seen that used in anger. Maximum database size 524PB.
524E15 bytes per database...
Now, I like to think I've got a bit of disk space here: about 13 or 14TB of HDD lurking around my house.
But that's just 0.0027% of the maximum capacity of SQL server...

Now that for a single instance. You can install up to 50 instances on the same server and using partitioning across different servers you can get a 50*524 PB sized table! Big data or no?

Big indeed.
But in ten years time, that will be the recommended disk space for a Visual Studio 2024 installation...

Yes, Developer edition comes with Managment studio, it's the same as Enterprise edition. However, you can only install it on a client OS (as far as I know it wont let you install on a server OS).
Common sense is admitting there is cause and effect and that you can exert some control over what you understand.

|
|

Not exactly. You can install it anywhere, but it's a single-user/single-connection database...

Developer Edition can be installed on server OS. I have 2008 Developer Edition running on Server '08 here. Not having a MSDN, I had to buy it for $50 I think. When I do move to a newer version, I think I will just use the Express version instead as it does everything I need for free.

.... terrible!
I dunno about you! But I live in Australia, got MSDN subscription, download is slow... and, worse, it sometimes fails!
(At 95% of 3GB ISO for Windows 8.1, argh.....)
They used to have a download manager, what happened to it?!

I just downloaded Windows 8.1 with Update and Visual Studio - because I lost the iso's somewhere and it all completed in less than 20 mins - no complaints.
