Oddly enough, I was looking at this earlier today (I'm using Windows VM's for IE testing - supplied from modern.ie, but they have a 30 day limit on them).
I read that this solution just gives you another 30 days and you can only use it twice though?

Perhaps that's what triggers it off. My VMs are showing "not genuine" on the desktop background, but they're still allowing me to do testing.
Not sure how long they'll carry on for though

Don't bother activating Windows (and burning through your licenses) for your testing VMs. Google "rearm Windows" if you need to extend your "trial" period...
That is, extend your search a little...there's ways to keep extending it forever.

Not much point in trying to find ways around it when you can download a new VM for free

If you're in the middle of some project, you'd rather keep using the VM that's expiring rather than restarting with a brand new one.

It depends what you're using it for I guess. The ones from modern.ie are just for testing using older versions of IE, so most of the time it's only 10 minutes of inconvenience.

Ah, well there you go.
Generally speaking, I'm thinking in terms of setting up test environments that take hours to get "juuuuust right". Otherwise, yeah, nuke/copy over.

In those cases, it's probably more cost effective to buy a copy of Windows (or use Azure or similar)

That extends the 30 day evaluation for another 30 days, up to a maximum of 120 days. Eventually, you'll still have to activate.

Sorry, but it did not. It has been more than 30 days ago[^], and it still is not complaining.
Go report it on connect if you feel it is a bug

slmgr -ato works better as it forces the activation process.

Same here. Bugger giving MS more private information than anyone who sells me a tool should ever have.
I suppose this means that we do actually have illegal versions, now, but I just don't give a damn, any more.

Hello all,
This is the most important question I've ever wrote...
I've just restarted the computer and I wanted to put music again, and of course I've found that I have to search again for the last song it was playing before restarting the computer.
Is it possible to make it remember what was playing before a restart?
Thank you all!

I don't think you can, but you know that you can make your searches easier by arranging songs in playlists?
|
|
|
|
|
1 song repeat playlist don't fit that btw
if(this.signature != "")
{
MessageBox.Show("This is my signature: " + Environment.NewLine + signature);
}
else
{
MessageBox.Show("404-Signature not found");
}
|
|
|
|
|
That's not what I meant. What I meant was.....Aah forget it!
|
|
|
|
|
I know what you meant :P
Just couldn't resist
if(this.signature != "")
{
MessageBox.Show("This is my signature: " + Environment.NewLine + signature);
}
else
{
MessageBox.Show("404-Signature not found");
}

Yes. From : here[^]:
"at the WMP icon in the taskbar click the mouse right button, then resume last playlist."
