Ya know - there's something really unsavory about that post.
Are you originally from Alabama or Louisiana or . . .

Why would you think sometyhing is unsavory? My grand daughters come over for dinner and playing tournament style chess. We give them all the things their parents won't. All the things I wanted to give my children, but didn't. As a grandparent, it's Ok, because they go home afterward!

Ya know - I wasn't even replying to your post!
Thereby, I assert that your internalizing it to your original preposition is where the problem lies.

I
'm doing OK. Doctors say I'm about as good as it is going to get.
I still am paralyzed on my left side, but I Can type, walk a little with a cane and my language sjills are Ok, so I'm good
Just trying to get used to doing everything with one hand.
I'm still mostly in a wheelchair, but that's OK.
I'm semi retired and doing some travveling. Made several trips to Bolivia and radio conventions in
Kansas City, Rweno, NV and Phiuladelphia coming up. I noticed I have to pay close attention to typing with 1 hand- frustraTING, BUT IT'S ok.
i FINISHED MY pHd dISSERTATION AND AM WAITING TO DO MY DEFENSE!

Sorry to hear your having troubles with health. It's amazing what we learn to live with as we grow older.
Good that your still able to travel and continue your education.
Know what you mean about typing with one hand, I find it hard to type with one finger on my phone, I make a lot typos and have to really watch, especially with auto correct, have had some humorous texts.
Take care Walt and stay in touch with us.

I do wonder what breaks first. I mean, these bindings (or whatever they are called) are quite resistant.

"Cargo straps", or "Ratchet straps".
Those look like 50mm, and the smallest MLC I've seen for 50mm is 2500kg - probably more than the vehicle itself. I suspect what would happen is the plastics of the quad get squashed, then the pickup suspension, then the sides of the pickup, then the wheels would break up.
Followed by shrapnel ...
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

These things are fabulous! Not long ago, I needed to lift/suspend/rotate/lower a 300lb concrete tabletop from my movable workbench onto the base. (which was mostly made from pallet material) Not having a hoist, or even anyone to help, I put together a crude lifting frame and used ratchet straps to do all the work...awkward and with a limited range, but it got the job done!
...and the table turned out beautifully, one of my better projects!
But yeah, I'd expect major damage to the truck and atv!

Came out of a cafe in Manhattan a long time ago. A dude in a green jumpsuit was making a big show of getting on his matching Kawasaki Ninja or some such nonsense. He was so focused on drawing attention that he didn't notice the padlock in the front disc. But a couple of us did.
Got on the bike, started it up, spun the back tire and *clunk* fell over like a stone. We all stood there just as intently watching him work his way out from under the bike and lift it up. No one lifted a finger.
Some say he's still crying.
