My mother was a teacher of history, lecturing about WW2 13-15 yo. She recommended the kids to watch the British "A family at war" series (so this is long ago!). She also loved singing, and teaching the class to sing "We'll meet again" came without saying. The name of Vera Lynn came up in one of the TV episodes, one guy referring to the lady as "the singing soldier wh*re". In the history lesson the following day, my mother had to explain a few things to the kids

We are often referred to the advice of the WHO, so I thought I'd check that out.
They seem to have got it all figured out as they tell me, correctly that we're "talking 'bout my generation" which is true given that, in general, "The kids are alright."
However, I do have reservations regarding their radical acupuncture treatment of the disease "Pinball Wizard."

I thought this song was the most appropriate during COVID-19 times (and also concerning their split)

In Israel, coming together will get you fined!

Unrecognized Type exception - Hamas is not an Israeli organization.
There are no restrictions in Israel on talking with anyone, including residents of Judea, Samaria, or Gaza. My opinion is that it is mostly futile, but that is not a crime.

Well, technically, it was people "coming together" with people in Israel, true, but I think that just about meets the stated criteria -- close enough for puddin', anyway.

Last year I enjoyed a live performance by The Analogues, a Dutch cover band that even uses the same instruments as The Beatles.

That also makes me think of a song by Thunderclap Newman:

Nightwish - Harvest[^]
I haven't listened to Nightwish since Tarja Turunen (the singer) left in 2005.
Their new singer just didn't cut it for me.
They now have a new singer again (since 2013, so not so new anymore), the Dutch Floor Jansen of After Forever fame.
And even though their previous album still didn't do it for me I'm very interested in their new album (which was actually released today).
Their first singles Noise and Harvest already made a good impression on me.
Especially Harvest, which isn't even very metal.
Half the song is folk, Celtic like, and it's only in the second half that we hear drums and guitars.
Also, a man is singing and Floor just does backing vocals.
So it's catchy, folky and metal-y, and SOTW!

Teachers in Singapore stop using Zoom after 'lewd' incidents[^]
When will people learn that "THE LATEST MUST HAVE APP!" is almost invariably st*ff that should be locked in a basement and ignored for a few centuries, until it has been completely forgotten about?

I have the half idea of studying Zoom to provide a free compatible alternative without the most invasive features, allowing users to take back Erebor! control of their own PC.
