I just figured out the "Lemmings" thing. When you mentioned them, I was going to say that I'd even written an article about them! But for some reason I thought you meant that the noise on your computer was related to the Lemmings game, which I then had to look up.

It was a Rimworld video; the video contains the sound of some USB device disconnecting and reconnecting, and I seriously been looking at my PC to find out which USB device would create these errors. Nothing in the eventlog. Reboot. Starting browser after reboot, and getting pissed when some USB device disconnects again..
Lemmings was a nice game, unrelated to the subject, but since it was in the sig.. Twas a cool game, no?

I play very few computer games, know nothing about Rimworld, and knew nothing about Lemmings.
Rimworld sounds like it might be a very naughty game indeed! I must look it up.

First play Lemmings. Every level is a nice puzzle.
Rimworld is for the sick perverts that like to make hats from human leather. Naughty doesn't cover it; warcrimes are a way of surviving there. I'm currently under attack from 40+ manhunting cats.

The Lemmings video I found on YouTube was a complete walkthrough of all levels. It looked rather retro but somewhat real-time, which isn't really what I go for.
Hats out of human leather?! That's far worse than what I'd imagined, which was just a world where rimming was common.

That's without the Cthulu-mods ofc

Lemmings must be over 25 years old.
It was the first computer game I ever played on my first computer, a 386 SX with 2 MB of RAM.

That's one of the problems with youtube...when the phone rings, I'm scrambling to find the tab playing the music! I've even brought up MP to pause only to realize it's youtube on one of those dozen or so tabs...now which one? If it's a personal call, I'll intentionally give them a few seconds at volume as a hint that 'yes, you are disturbing me'.

Lazyness?
I mean, if I am going to need it in two places that are close to each other, I might keep it on but I don't usually do it.

No, the masks are not comfortable, and they fog up my glasses, which is a real pain.

My FIL is scared to death about contracting this virus. He wears his mask even in the house.
You just have to shake your head and move on.

Lots of people haven't understood that the mask is not to protect themselves, but to protect other people.
If you are not infected yourself, the mask is "essentially inessential".
If you are infected, it helps to avoid that you do not spread the virus to others. Like if you were quarantined.
We should be aware that you may be infected, and spread the virus, even if you have only very light symptoms. So if you suspect that you might possibly be infected, it might be a good idea to wear a mask, even at home to avoid being a virus fountain at home.
My guess is that if you are living in the same household, the virus will unconditionally spread to all of you - masks or not.

Suggests that it's not as communicable as we perhaps think, and that just following basic "normal" hygiene (not coughing in people's faces, washing hands, i.e. basic common sense and good manners) is as much, if not more, important than the whole gloves / masks thing...?

There are some indications that a large fraction of the public may have been corona infected without showing significant symptoms, and have become immune. But then, there are indications that the immunity may be quite short lived; several have been corona sick for the second time.
It might very well be that those "not getting it" are indeed getting it, even though they do not show any symptoms. If they leave the house, they may be spreading it to whoever they meet.
The other day there was a note in Norwegian newspapers about one lady who was quarantened: On day 13 of her isolation, the first symptoms appeared. Bottom line: We should make premature conclusions.

I have a friend who got it, but no one else in his household did. Hopefully one day we'll understand this thing better.
