That's adorable! I was hoping for something with digital and analog I/O pins I could tap, and then I found the pyboard which is similar to what you linked to but more geared for industrial microcontroller applications. That one was a little much for me. I think a hacked $15 arduino mega 2560+WiFi with the wifi bit cannibalized for micropython instead would serve me fine. pyboards are like $50. Still cheap, but I kinda want bragging rights of hacking it into an arduino, even if the end result is a slower machine.

Forget all else within your post - perhaps all your posts, ever, and all of ours, as well. This, piece of wisdom - guidance and surety of purpose is far beyond even priceless:

I use a UWP DatePicker control in my UWP app to get a birth date.
I named my control UxDate.
DatePicker has a .Date property which is a "DateTimeOffset".
But since I want a DateTime, I can call .DateTime on .Date which will return a DateTime.
Since I don't care about the time portion, I then use just .Date on DateTime to get just the date portion.
So, once the user selects a date with the DatePicker, I can retrieve it so:
details.BirthDate = this.UxDate.Date.DateTime.Date;

You're already past your "sell by" date, just like me!

Thank you.
In general, I lack a sense of humor, but once in a while I find something amusing and feel the need to share. I agonized about posting in the "Lounge" (of a "programming web site"), but since I wasn't able to come up with a comparable "computer cartoon", I though I would risk it. Some people are better with words than pictures, obviously.

The DateTimeOffset already exposes the Date property:

So your code should be:
details.BirthDate = this.UxDate.Date.Date; There, that's much better!

Like most people lately (I suspect) I've been using Amazon and FleaBay more than usual simply because I can get the bits I want reasonably quickly, and don't have to meet infected people ...
And I've noticed that since the start of the pandemic, their backend systems have been getting worse and worse - most of the time now I get a "we're going to deliver your order today!" email about 6 or 8 hours after the goods arrived on my doorstep. You can sort of understand this, volume is way up, and systems are getting clogged.
And that means one of two things:
1) AWS doesn't expand automatically / gracefully to meet need / volume levels
Or
2) Amazon don't use their own cloud offering.
Neither of these exactly fills me with desire to use AWS: either it doesn't actually do what they say, it costs way too much to expand it to fit the need, or they don't trust it enough to use it ...
Anyone here from Amazon and have an idea which it is?
