Do you weigh a Millennial in Instagrams?

A weighty subject indeed.
Unfortunately, an instant measure of mass is impossible because of Quantum.

"TikToks" is how you measure the age of a Millenial*

You may trigger mass hysteria unless you pound some sense into their heads. Beware !

And once you've got that all sorted out, an update will change your email preference from Outlook to that useless Microsoft Mail... And then, if you happen to still be using Office 2010, another update will make it so it does an almost complete reinstall, taking up 2+ minutes to open up something you just wanted to glance at...

I think hotmail was retired some time ago; it's outlook.com now.
It is still being offered when registering.
Right now I had:
outlook.de
outlook.com
hotmail.com
If they are discontinued... why the ing are they still being offered in the combobox?

What combo box are you referring to?

The one in outlook site when you go "register a new address"
you have an input field to give your "nickname" before the "@" and a combobox for the part behind the "@"
And there is "hotmail.com" still offered as a possibility for new generated emails

But I thought that is what you wanted? When I tried it it accepted my suggested name with a hotmail.com domain.

I will try again next week, once the desired nicknames are free again after the deletion period.

Richard is right - it's been about 4 years since new hotmail addresses were closed.

I've noticed that what domains you are offered depends on what country you're in and/or what country's outlook.* you go to.
For me here in the UK, Outlook gives me a choice of @outlook.com or @hotmail.com for a new address. Annoyingly one cannot choose @hotmail.co.uk (which used to be an option).

Yes it is ironic. But perhaps not surprising if you consider how many times they buried and resurrect COM over the years.

Honestly, can't we have biometrics and end all this password nonsense?
My Chrome says that I have passwords that have been compromised. They give me a list of sites I have logged into. About 1/3 of them are localhost. So, my confidence in that message is low
Exactly.
And yes, my localhost passwords are critical security vulnerabilities too. I really need a better password other than "password".
Maybe I'll try Password. That's sure to be OK, right?
cheers
