I intentionally left that up to the interpretation of the reader.
Just because the code works, it doesn't mean that it is good code.

So others don't have to...from Wiki (so it must be true!)
'Certain members[who?] of the DVD Forum proposed the backronym "digital versatile disc" to express that DVDs can store other data formats, though the forum never universally accepted this name and a 1999 report decreed that DVD was "simply three letters" and stood for "nothing".[7][unreliable source?] "Digital versatile disc" is the explanation provided in a DVD Forum Primer from 2000.' So what does DVR mean?
Around here they are called CDs anyway. I don't argue, I know what she means.

I never knew LOL as lots of laughs - it was always laugh out loud - used in online gaming before the days of microphones.
In any case, it's 707 down under

For those that have watched the film "The Social Network", do you remember that scene where they are approaching their millionth member and they have the big screen up on the wall and refresh to see when they can start the party?
Well, I reckon @OriginalGriff has that setup in his living room and he is waiting for the 1M, and furiously hits F5 on his profile page.
At which point he will crack open a bottle of bubbly another sheep....

Thanks for the email address: now I know where to send the lanolin adverts!

That's a feature with that atsign I didn't know about.

Yep! As it works at the moment, if you prefix any member name with an atsign - even accidentally in an SQL parameter for example - an email is sent to the member notifying him of the reference to him, with your sign in email address as the return: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jijamnn60oyydad/20140319Email.jpg[^]

Aside from the obvious problem, any sensible email system should reject that message as spoofed.

Yes...I would demonstrate, but I'm not sure whether it works with names with a space in, and I'm reluctant to send my email address to a random dude called Jörgen in order to find out...

Oh yes. But not so curious I want to send my email to random people...you've already got it!

Well, I'm curious.
Let's se what happens when I include @Jörgen Andersson in this message.

I see.
A small suggestion, the parser should check for a whitespace behind the username so that J doesn't get any more messages aimed at me.
Especially if you consider that this function sends a personal mail rather than a mail from codeproject that tells the reciever that they've been mentioned in a post (preferred function IMHO).

The issue is slightly different: the parser is looking only for ASCII characters. I've corrected that and will deploy soon.

Apparently someone called J got a mail today.

Look at your profile page, between your name and the "About Jörgen Andersson" tab, you can see what the at-name for your account is. The space becomes an underscore, and the ö becomes o.
What is this talk of release? I do not release software. My software escapes leaving a bloody trail of designers and quality assurance people in its wake.
