Where I'm from you are talking over $7USD a gallon on a good day!

Keep in mind that a USA gallon is less than an imperial gallon. Still, $7 is highway robbery!

In Birmingham, I used to buy petrol from an unnamed supermarket, but one day I filled up from an unnamed oil company, for quite a few more pennies per gallon, and got almost a third better mileage.
I wouldn't have expected there to be a difference, but I suppose that, like with many things (fruity computer equipment notwithstanding) you get what you pay for -- either that or different cars perform better with different brands.

When I'm tanking in Germany instead of Sweden I'm getting a consistently better mileage, not by much but measurably so still.
I have narrowed it down to be either because of the rougher Swedish tarmac and/or the fact that Swedish petrol have 5% ethanol mixed in. Ethanol has a lower energy content than regular petrol.

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

And the vast majority of the sum is taxes.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

Similar prices here - our petrol prices recently bottomed out at 106.4p per litre[^], which Google tells me is about $6.09 per gallon. I've previously seen prices upwards of £1.40 per litre / $8 per gallon.

I am using IE 11 on Windows 7 with Trend Micro security installed. I visited many websites and there are no any problems, but when I try to log in www.visualstudio.com and try to download Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate trial version, I got connection error.
I tried three computers in my home and they all got the same errors.
any clue on this? hope this message does not violate any rules here.

Company is doing Oxycodone testing two days next week. For me the test is not a problem, however they are closing the men's restroom to use for the testing.
Now, I am an old fart. I have GI issues and closure means I will need to go down two flights of stairs to get to a restroom.
Think I will call in sick and only come in for my scheduled test.
