Yup, it has 5 fans. I watched a video on it last night. The thing is a freakin monster. I love the curved screen.
When you are dead, you won't even know that you are dead. It's a pain only felt by others.
Same thing when you are stupid.

Well, have you seen this?[^]

Nice.
What all of this laptop stuff tells me, is that people, including myself, love the portability of a laptop but hate, with extreme prejudice, the bloody small monitor size(s).
|
|
|
|
|
And that tells me that a lappie isn't a whole lot of use in practice because either the screen is so small it's a PITA to use, or the whole thing is so big it loses it's portability. Hey ho.

Phones are getting bigger - many are already as big or bigger than tablets. Just give it a few years and there'll be phones with 12-14" screens. Lapphones

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if all of this comes full circle, and we end up using mainframes again.
I can see it now, every home will have a mainframe; we can make them look like refrigerators (mini and normal), color choices too.

That'd be nice actually Closer to how authors like Asimov imagined the future would be.

Ah - you missed the look of delight on my face when my nephew, a video-editor (professional real thing) bought a PC instead of an iSheet. His family had moved to that evil cabal, but now they all have LG phones. Slowly but surely, a smear of sanity returns.
I've never owned an iAnything - part of the "Just Say No!" program.

I have, and both have their strengths. I do think Windows tends to be nice for the developer, but Mac has its strong points too. Kinda silly to bash something you haven't used daily don't ya think?

I would call anybody who bought one a sucker considering that you could build almost 3 top-of-the-line gaming desktop PCs with $9000. 2 if you include triple 4K monitors.

I would not buy this either, but surely the market/purpose for gaming desktops vs gaming laptops is distinct?

While you are correct about their own respective markets, there is too little bang-for-your-buck with gaming laptops for me. I have an older gaming laptop but it's the fallback for when my machine goes on the fritz and I have to wait two or three days for parts.
