I actually can't remember the last time I played any media on my PC that wasn;t in it's own player/app [e.g. spotify, youtube].

There are no good player out there.

I use iTunes.
I'd rather be phishing!

I know...
If all you know is iTunes, then yeah, you'd think all players suck. As far as I understand it, iTunes is universally despised on Windows, which you'd think would be surprising given that it's pretty much necessary if you use Apple's hardware without an actual Apple desktop or laptop.
It's my firm belief that Apple is so petty, even though they have all the money in the world, they do NOT want to spend the resources to make a good product for any competitor's OS. Even though they have way more people using iTunes on Windows than MacOS.

I still use WinAmp after many years. I tried Windows Media player and hated it.

Paid a visit to your site and viewed the photo gallery, nice photo's
Especially the one with tea cup and books, that seems to be light reading (Das Kapital).
I once visited the German town of Trier where I stumbled upon the birth house of Karl Marx, didn't visit it though
Well maybe next time when I'm in the neighbourhood ...

Thanks for the kind words, glad you liked the photos, still working on putting more up. The shot you speak of was taken at an antique store, the owner had set up quite a few of these settings and I really liked them. Never noticed name of book.

I consider WMP to be more than adequate for my needs so I've never tried anything else.
Last weekend I revived an old personal project to catalogue my music files into my own database. Part of it uses the album cover image downloaded/used by WMP.

I haven't tried enough of them to decide on a best one. I still use WinAmp though because it is easy for me. I have over 240GB of music, all categorized and sorted by performer and album, and I find WinAmp to be very simple to deal with it all. WMP was useless with my music so I bagged it long ago.

It Depends.
I personally like Music Bee for my 'ahhhhhh' collection of music I 'found' in the 90's
WinAmp was great. Still ok.
VLC is great for converting stuff but not for playlists and things.
Music Bee works for PodCasts and other things as well. I just like it.
Your mileage may vary of course.

WinAmp's Smart Views were a huge organizational tool, once I figured them out. Have used it ever since, and like Sander, haven't upgraded because 5.666 just works. But don't use it on the phone, since it stuttered for some reason. Playlists created from Smart Views are copied over though, and work fine...

The music is just perfect. I don't like the singer though - neither his voice neither the way he sings, I find it half emo half "The Cure".

Lol, that's what makes it distinctive for me.
But I guess it's one of those love/hate things.

Of course it is. I like Van Canto, my wife can't really stand them.

Cat owners already know
I once told my little cousin that my cat had been in the family longer than him, so if anyone had to leave the family it would be him and not my cat.
That must be over 10 years ago.
The guy is 22 now and still talks about it, especially how that was a dick move of me
Of course the cat is dead now and my cousin is still in the family, so I guess it all worked out for him
