Hi,
I have a DataGridView whose DataSource is BindingList of objects:
this.peerList = new BindingList<PeerInfo>();
this.dataGridView1.AutoGenerateColumns = true;
this.bindingSource = new BindingSource();
this.bindingSource.DataSource = this.peerList;
this.dataGridView1.DataSource = this.bindingSource;
I have found guides online of how to set up this filtering, but they only work if the source is a DataTable.
Is there a way to mimic this behavior on a BindingList?

i developed an application.. and this application is doing some events on every 1 hr... but i want this application to run when the system starts.. hope u got what i mean. so can anybody help to achieve this..
i referred some sites but i got confused.. any good refernce is also appriciated.. with some introduct idea..

in application root i have a xml file.
how can i get that file path.
i am using to get file path @"..\..\file name,xml"
when i run it from vs it is working.
but when i Publish it it through an error.
error shows file not found.
how i will solve my problem
can any one tell me.

That is not the application root. That is two levels above the application root.

That is because the XML file is most likely in your project, not the application root.

Don't hard code file paths (relative or absolute) in your application.
Put file paths in the config file and find out from there.
Also, if the XML files are supposed to be in the application root folder then you might want to tell Visual Studio that so that it can copy the XML files to that location when you run your application.
To do that, right click the XML file in the Solution Explorer. Select "Properties" in the context menu. In the Properties ensure that "Build Action" is set to "Content" and that "Copy to Output Directory" is set to either "Copy if newer" or "Copy Always"

Display the full file path and then see if the file is there. I'll bet it is a relative path and its wrong.

I have a windows application, where i should find the spelling mistakes from a list of xml files.I used the following code and am able to list the misspelled words. The problem is, I have more than 1000 such xml files. Everytime a spell check is happening in an xml file, one Microsoft Word window is opening. To spell chek 1000 such xml files, 1000 word windows are opened at the sametime. But still, i have closed all those windows using code. Eventhen, every window is opened and then it is getting closed. This is visible to the user. Is there any way to hide the Microsoft Word window to the user? Or can i do spell checking without opening word? Please suggest me.

I need to display a list which have a text and a button in each row. Which control will be good for this ?
I did this by creating a custom control that wraps TableLayoutPanel. I have create another control which has Label and a Button. Second control will be added to each row in the TableLayoutPanel. Inner control's events are handled by the control which wraps TableLayoutPanel and this control's events are handled on the form. Is this right approach ? Or is there any similar kind of controls available ?

If I am understanding your question correctly, a TableLayoutPanel having buttons in one column and textboxes in other alone would work.

Hi!
I have an application that has a keyboard-listener (system-hook).
It is being notified on any keyboad-event, even if the app-windows is not active.
As far as that it works as designed.
My problem is, that it is possible, that someone pushed the space-bar or the cursor-buttons, what effects on the GUI, e.g. to buttons, list-views, etc... So if someone presses the curser-buttons a highlight wanders around my gui. And if the spacebar is hit and a button was highlighted this button will be pressed. This is what i´d like to avoid.
What i´d like to have is to make the gui ignore these keyboard inputs (except textboxes, where you need the keyboard).
Is there a way of making the GUI-elements not react on keyboard-actions?

This didn´t work the way i need it.
For testing i just built a small App, containing a form with 9 buttons.
I handled the KeyDown-Event and set SupressKeyPress to true, but i still could navigation through my buttons with the cursor-keys and click them using the space-bar. I checked that with handling the Click-event, which behaved exactly like it did without SupressKeyPress set to true.
I guess that this keyboard events are handled BEFOR they even arrive at my KeyDown-handler.
The question is, if this prior handling can be suppressed in any way...

I tried the same and found one strange thing. Here it is:
I have three buttons and a textbox. On buttons click, button name will be displayed in the textbox. If I put breakpoint at keydown event, click event is not fired. But remove the breakpoint and its fired.
I guess you will need to override WndProc method to achieve your task.

Hi all,
i working with windows applications(C#).i used webservice in this
.Application is working fine in vs 2005 but after deploying it is giving
error as - Unable to connect to the remote server .
can any body explain me how to resolve this problem ...

Well, if it gets this far, then it's not a deployment issue, .NET must be present. Firewall perhaps ?

Thanks for ur reply . i disabled firewall and .net 2005 is there where im trying to installed this application.
one more thing i have to say .. here that deployed application is executing fine if first the application is exeuted in IDE .because the the service is still running after executing the application .
that webservice is not running when we execute exe file ..
i think u got what im trying to say ...
pls let me know if u get the solution ..

I think that the problem is not your application but the publication of the webservice in IIS, make sure that the webservice is accessible, typing the address in the browser.

Dear sir,
1.we are developing one video-email project. in that we are using "CODEC" com object for video recording & displaying.
2.Coder records the viddeo. Decoder Disply the video.
3.We used Windows Media Encoder 9 series SDK.
4.we used WME-Interfaces(we used WMEncoder & IWMensouce Interfaces,... ) for recordig video,displying video etc....
5.NOW I WANT TO CHANGE VIDEO SETTINGS LIKE: "Brightness" & "color" & "sharpness" of the video
6.to change the video settings i want one API. i dont knoew how to use the the API call for changing the video settings
7.i have UI (User Interface) with 3 SLIDER BARS(track bars) to increase or decrease the brightness,color,sharpness.
8.i have 3 buttons(APPLY,CANCEL,OK) in that UI to change the settings.
9.And i have a DEFAULT button to set the brightness,color,sharpness to default.
9. while drag the SLIDER BAR forward/backward the brightness,color will increase/decrease respectively.
10.when i click on apply the settings will apply to the video.
this is my requirement please help me to complete my project.its urgent.
