Hi,
most barcode readers simulate key strokes, when you scan something. So, all you have to do is to use a texbox that will be focused, so that the barcode can be entered when the scanner scans the code. Just give it a simple try with notepad or any other editor.

Hi,
adding to the above, most bar code readers support a prefix and a postfix string that gets
added to whatever text got scanned. You can insert tabs, carriage returns, whatever suits your needs.
All this would be explained in the documentation. Did you read it?

hello..
i wanted to know whether there is any way to restore the changed values in the property grid for the usercontrols created.
My problem is that i need to restore the values as and when changes are done in the grid.

That would make the grid read-only, wouldn't it? How about just reloading all contents, or setting the grid to readonly?

If you have a UI and you mean to say the UI is hanging then implement your
reading code in a different thread. Search CodePr.. for threading etc ....

I have written a code in VB.NET to send the mail...
Try
Dim ClientPC As New SmtpClient(ServerName, ServerPortNumber)
Dim Authentication As New Net.NetworkCredential(ServerLoginName, Password)
ClientPC.Credentials = Authentication
Dim mSender As New MailAddress(ServerLoginName)
Dim mReceiver As New MailAddress("myyahoomail@yahoo.com")
Dim sMail As New MailMessage(mSender, mReceiver)
sMail.Subject = SubjectOfMail
sMail.Body = MailBody
ClientPC.Send(sMail)
Catch ex As SmtpException
Throw ex
Catch ex As Exception
Throw ex
End Try
Mail goes perfectly ....
Now I want to add CC too in above code where can I add CC code into this ?

sMail.CC.Add(ccReciever) 'ccReviever is the email of the CC reciever as string or as MailAddress

I'm curious - why would somebody give you the code? This site is about helping people who have tried, rather than just giving away code - if that's what you're after, try rentacoder.

Which doctor/opthamologist office are you "writing" this application for?? I really need to avoid that place. Please give me the full address of that office.

*Phew* He lives in the US. Thank goodness, otherwise I'd have to leave Canada to get my eyes checked.
Side note; isn't cataracts detected by shooting a gasp of air into your air to check the pressure?
I'd really hate to see an "out of bounds" error at that place... might be a little misleading...

Here is all the information you need.
Now just follow the simple steps of:
a) Implementing system from the documentation
b) Avoid getting sued for patent infringment
Good luck!
Is it just me or are the code-please requests getting crazier and crazier? Maybe I should just try "Wanted: $10 million of IP. Send now please? Urgent*."
* Seriously, if you are going to give me ten million bucks, you can take your time :P

Dear CodeProjects
I have a COM Windows application,writen using VC#.NET,running on a local LAN.My boss has asked me to find a way for this application to exchange data with other applications in company which are Windows App.,or some WEB App.s,I'm a beginner in SOAP,as I've studied,it's platform independent,but all documents I've read,told SOAP carries over HTTP,or other internet transfer protocols,now my question,is there any way for using SOAP without an Internet transfer protocol?if yes,only a small discusstion to follow up.
Any guide line is highly appreciaed.Thnaks in advance

Not sure what you are asking. A SOAP message is just data so you could send it using a fax machine or whatever you want. If you are asking if there is existing support in the form of libraries or something for other transport mechanisms, I have no idea, but you don't need that since you can just send the data yourself.

Why wouldn't that scenario have a TCP/IP network available?

Thank you very much led,honesly i'm looking for a standard protocol like SOAP,so that i can exchange data with any other application in future too,provided that application(WEB or Windows) supports implements this protocol,I found part of answer of my question from your duscussion,so if I want,i can use for example Windows sockets to send SOAP message,but let me make my question more clear,can i use any library or object model to send a SOAP message over HTTP inside a Windows application?if I'm inside a WEB application I can use "Post" method to send a message,but what about a Visual C# Windows application,there is no any object which has "Post" method there.

Yes, in all forms of modern Windows development ( this includes .NET therefore C# ) you will find libraries available from Microsoft that simplify working with SOAP and making HTTP requests as a client. However, as with all standards, there is a possibility of two different library implementations producing an incompatibility. With SOAP being so pervasive the chance is small, but it could happen. The simpler your use of SOAP is, the less likely you will encounter any.

If user click on skip button It wont get the latest version and it still

Hi,
Is this exception raised when you tried to fetch data from database server,then
set the Connection Time out property to 0 (infinite).
