PLEASE read the directions on how to post. Every question here is about 'C#', how is your header useful ? What do you mean by login and logout, when the computer is turned off and on ? What have you tried ? Obviously your code needs to be running in order to take not of these times, unless they are in the event log, so one would think a windows service would be the way to go. Assuming I understood you correctly.

hi
i have multiline textbox in that i want to enter 300 characters and that will be complete in 5 lines. how to handle that one in javascript i wrote that one but i am facing when 5 lines are entered deleted last line i cant entered again that line how to solve this problem i am mentioning that javascript code also please help me......

Hello,
i have an application that connect to sql server.
I am going to create a track database.What i want to ask if i can send to sql a parameter or defining a variable in order to know which user has made a change.
Note : all user access the database with the uname : sa / pass : sa and for this reason i want to separate the sql access by a parameter ...

Your application can have a login facility. When you insert/update data from database, keep this login id along with the row modified.

Of course you can, its just another parameter.

VERY BAD. NEVER, EVER let everyone have sa priviliges. It leaves you wide open to problems. For example as sa ANY user could drop the entire database. Create a generic user by all means, but NEVER give them sa rights. In most big companies this would be a sackable offence!

You really want to get fired from your job, don't you? By giving everyone access to the SQL Server using the SA account, YOU ARE GIVING EVERYONE "GOD" RIGHTS TO THE ENTIRE SQL SERVER! If you knew anything about any kind of Security at all, you'd know that this is a very, very, very, BAD, BAD, BAD (repeat ad nauseum) idea! Your SQL Server, and every database it's hosting will be a smoldering pile of junk in a week.

"Tag" property is normally used to keep some information about the particular node. I haven't heard about "String Key". Where does this belongs to?

Hi. I've created a new form and inserted a picturebox. Picturebox has a *.Tiff/*.Tif image in it.
The tif image is a multipage image. So, is it possible to move through pages?

Yes, but you'll need to find a third party library or sample to do it, there's no direct support in C#.

Ok, thats not correct. I just found out that u can use GDI+ in C# and can easily, with less than 10 rows of code, create an multipage tiff viewer.

Really, good for you! But, you should know something about GDI+ TIF format support. GDI+ doesn't support JPEG compressed TIF images. So, if you someday find that suddenly you can't see any images, you'll know why.
Seriously, find a third party library that offers full support of the TIF specification if you're going to work with TIF files.

Hmm... triend with some Kodak compressed files (the standard) and got some tifs from the net and they've all worked fine. Maybe you've ment fully/highly compressed files. Anyway... works for me - FOR NOW.

but when i open the connection it throw exception ("SqlException")
