Why don't new and override appear at the same point in the declaration? Mad | :mad:

public override void Blah(){}

but

new public void Blah(){}

You can do it just like you want!
All is possible:

public override void Blah(){}
override public void Blah(){}
new public void Blah(){}
public new void Blah(){}

Yes, that's true!
But in fact it is also limited to classes I guess and so I would also not se it as unconsistend.

Getting the node name in TreeView

Hi. I am having problem in getting the name of the node in treeview control. When I searched in events list there is no exact event which matches this scenario. If I select "DoubleClick" event, I dont get any reference of currently selected node.
The contents of tree (i.e nodes) are generated dynamically. When clicked on any of this node, I should get that node's name
Should I create new event of my own? If so, how to do that? tell me how should i proceed.

No you dont need to create a new event.
You can use the NodeMouseClick event of the treeview.
e.Node.Name will return you the Node Name.
In btw, make sure when you add a node dynamically, you specify its name also Rose | [Rose]

My target Framework is 1.1. NodeMouseClick event is present in 2 and 3 framework. Is there any method to do in 1.1 framework?

Use AfterSelect event instead.
Make sure you handle the first click as it will return the name of root node.

But I want name of the node to be displayed after double clicking it.

Here is the solution for my problem..

Use DoubleCLick event itself. Just need to typecast the sender object to TreeView

private void treeView1_DoubleClick(object sender, System.EventArgs e)<br />
{<br />
    TreeView myTree = (TreeView)sender;<br />
    MessageBox.Show(myTree.SelectedNode.Text);<br />
}

The MouseEventArgs has a Location property
And the TreeView has a GetNodeAt method.
So myTree.GetNodeAt ( e.Location )

Hi,

Is it windows application or asp.net web application? Also which .Net version are you using (ie. Visual Studio 2003 or Visual Studio 2005?)

I am not clear about these details, if i would know i can give some suggestions (I havent done this, I have used checkboxes inside grid using Web application(in VS 2003) and i have used comboboxes inside datagridview using Windows Application (in VS 2005)).

Hi srini,

how r u? Good evng. I think you might have option to include the template column inside the datagrid. In that template column, you might insert a radio button control by the Edit Template option.

yes now i redesigned page
now iam using radiobuttonlist control.
jm iam in problem .
iam working in optimus BT
my TL gave one application to develop.In my company they are conducting some quiz about organization .in that 5 options ,5 options contains marks like 5,4,3,2,1 like that ,
so frent end i used lable control ,one radiobuttonlist control,and 3 buttons for previous,next,finish.
iam doing in vs.net2003 and c#.
can u do any help for me i want code for this application any of your friends done this application,
please let me know i want code for previous , next, finish .buttons
how many tables required for database .

Hi srini,

If at all you want to use the radiobutton only for the selection the answers,
why not you try with the Radiobuttonlist (instead of datagrid), because it also involves less complexity.
Its my suggession, pls try for the radiobuttonlist control.
