This is a website. You aren't being charged per letter. Try not using txtspk as:
1 - it's really, really irritating
2 - it can take a while to make sense of the text
3 - not everybody who can help you uses English as a first language, so you are placing unnecessary barriers in their way.

I'm trying to call a C++ dll from my C# (VS2005) application and keep on getting the same exception:
"Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."
Here's the code:

I tried this, but it does not work:

Wrapper code:

Function call:
configName and iniPath is declared as strings and _hSession and userdef is declared as IntPtr's and initialized to IntPtr.Zero

the import code looks fine... check if the C++ dll is read-only, maybe the problem is something like this(silly that is!)

Nope, not read-only. I think it's got something to do with the new security features of Visual Studio 2005, but I'm not sure it's as if when I call the c++ function, it sets the _hsession variable and then throws an exception. Maybe my reference to the void* is incorrect?
I'm new at this and it's been driving me crazy for almost a month now.

the error could be from uninitialized pointers. U have to initialize any pointer you use in C++.

Hi,
I am developing windows mobile application..I want to exit my application.Not automatically exited.So i am trying to use the code..But Process.GetProcessesByName not supported in windows mobile application.(Compact Framework)..Can you help me how to terminate?..I tried in many ways, this.Dispose(), this.Close(), Application.Exit()....But not exiting..please help me..

yaa, already tried Application.Exit()..that one Application hanging..
so i tried this.Dispose()..second time i have to run the application..can not run it..because application still background runing.
So, finally how to kill the exe file? I didn't try Application.ExitThread()..i will try it...Thanks for your reply...

I am having problems with the use of resource files (holding strings) with Visual Studio 2005. To abstract the problem, I have written a demo application.
I am working on device applications for PPC2003. I got one C# Solution with two projects. The following shows how the files are organised (and the blue text is some comments to understand it better):

I have changed my regional settings on the PDA device to Italy, and running the application. The application is supposed to read all the strings from the resource file CodeText and populates it in a list box (or combo box). However, the problem is that when running the application, it is only using the english version (i.e. CodeText.resx) file and not the italian resource file (i.e. CodeText.it.resx) despite the regional settings changed to Italy. I think it cannot find or reads the correct dlls. Any help please? It's urgent.

I figured out the problem. The code was fine. It's one of the properties of the dll link that I didnt set correctly. Now it's working.

I am trying to run my C# application on my PDA device (its a Symbol device) and I get this exception
"An unhandled exception of the type 'System.MissingMethodException' occurred in System.Windows.Forms.dll
Additional information: Method not found: Dispose

I am not understanding what is this and on which function it is occurring.
Checked on google and found that "MissingMethodException is designed to handle cases where an attempt is made to dynamically access a renamed or deleted method of an assembly that is not referenced by its strong name"
Can anyone help me incase they have encountered similar issue. Also please tell me what should be the possible solution to this issue
